RNG Headpiece

Question:

So I have seen a lot of rangers with the Wyvern Helm and I'm wondering why do they use this? I have seen this used for everything.

What hat is best for ranger at 75?

I know there's the MKE hat but I'm not sure if I want to use it for ranger or one of my other jobs.

I'm just looking for some advice what hats are good for rng for TP, what hat for certain WS, etc.

And if you're lucky... You can get the Quadav SCNM helm, Zha'Go's Barbut.

Its for the pure STR boost. More STR = higher Damage cap.

Well my LS stopped doing SCNM's atm so no barbut :( Only 2 members in my ls have it.

So no hat is specific for a WS?

For Sidewinder?

SCNM's are HARDLY end-game. lol They're not that bad and ya don't need a full alliance, kind of like KS99's.Just switch in O. Hat if you need the acc and use Wyvern +1 for everything that you're capped acc on.

MKD headpiece with STR/WSACC and AGI/WSDMG perhaps? Assuming you haven't used it elsewhere, of course.

That's not how it works.

You get higher dmg of course, but it doesn't have anything to do with a cap.

Str and attack's gains are independent of each other.

AMK Head is win. Maat's cap is win. Wyvern Helm+1 is win. AF head+1 is also a good WS piece since this game lack pieces who give R.ATT SCNM Head is win.

Should be using as much STR as humanly possible on WS, imo. Your overall gear would have to be pretty low quality to need to prioritise accuracy on weapon skills.

Personally, I use Wyvern Helm +1, since I haven't got round to doing MKD, and it's the highest buyable STR available.

However, for TP I use the Hunters Beret +1, because I'm yet to get the Bharbut. Sorry Row, going to have to rebuke your Scout's Beret. Levelling the wrong job if you're worried about how much money you're shooting away, again in my opinion.

Wyvern Helm is an easy 5 STR for WS, which should be your top priority. However, for TP, you need a good balance of ranged attack and STR, so I prefer to go with Hunter's Beter +1, as STR is readily available in other slots, where I would otherwise have to settle for ACC or AGI.

If you're actually still interested in the SCNM, it can be done with 12 or less, and almost every one of the NMs for the triggers is soloable by RDM.

Triggers are all 100% drop rate and the Barbut itself seems to be about 50%.

I don't have hunter's beret. I don't do dynamis atm.

TP is enough acc to cap acc, then go for str / rng. atk after that.

And of course, if you can get trait enhancers for Snapshot and the like, that's always great.

WS STR > All, TP STR + Ratt in a kinda 50/50 ration once ACC is capped.

If you can get a hold of it, Zha'Go's Barbut is the superior option for everything.

As for TPing, STR+5 is technically better than Ranged Attack+5, though the piece with Ranged Attack+5 offers increased Rapid Shot activation rate, which is, in a sense, Haste for RNG.

I mean sure, Snapshot is far better but still, the only way to increase ranged attack speed on RNG without a Snapshot piece is with Rapid Shot.


Tl;dr: Imagine Hunter's Beret as a Walahra Turban for RNG, with +5 Ranged Attack also.

My bad. I do have the af hat but not +1 and I hate doing limbus. So just use the hunter's beret for tp or O hat?

I'd say Hunter's Beret, Behemoth Rings are more acc than ohat and cheap. Ranged attack on the other hand is not so easy to get.
