MBReadyTimer is a Windower 4 addon that shows when your spell lands and when you can cast again, so you can time magic bursts.

- Time left until the spell lands, then until you can cast again (bar and seconds)
- "READY!" when the recast is over (plays your own wav if you add one)
- "Magic Burst" when your spell bursts
- Scholar: skillchains made with your own spells

It only reads your own actions and shows a HUD. It never sends anything to the game. It remembers how long your last casts took, so FC, gear and lag are already in the number. Until it has a measurement it uses the FC rate you set (default 80%). "Lands" is the moment your client gets the packet saying the spell finished.

Install: download the ZIP from GitHub, rename the folder to MBReadyTimer and put it in Windower4/addons/. Then //lua l mbreadytimer. //mbr test shows the display.

I only play on the Japanese client. The English display (v4.4) switches on by itself when the client is English, but I haven't been able to try it there, so tell me if something looks off. The sound file is not included, so the README explains how to add your own.

If something breaks, tell me here or on GitHub.

Does this work for healing magic? I use the percentage of my current cast to know when I can recast. Would be cool to look somewhere else on my screen, closer near everyone's HP/Status Effects.

Yes, it should work with healing magic. It doesn't filter by spell, so any cast gets the same thing: a bar with the seconds left while you cast, then a short delay bar after it lands (about 3 seconds by default), then READY!. I haven't tried it on cures myself though, so tell me if it misbehaves there.

One thing to know: it doesn't show the spell's own recast, only when you can start your next cast. As for position, you can drag the box anywhere or set it with //mbr pos <x> <y> (e.g. //mbr pos 600 400). It's a standalone text box, so it can't be built into the party list, but you can put it right next to it.

neat idea, wasn't there something like this people were using on private servers that was just a bar that went down and was for global cooldowns? I can't recall what it was but I guess the creator didn't want to share it.

Is the delay there to account for animation lockout?

Yes, that's the idea. After a spell lands you can't start the next cast for a moment, and the bar covers that time. The 3.08 s default is just what I measured on my own connection, so yours may differ a little. If READY shows up and you still can't cast, raise it with //mbr post 3.2. If you can cast before READY, lower it. I haven't verified the exact cause, so "animation lockout" is my guess.
