New trust system - Who will you upgrade first?

If, in the future, they get to take gear similar to automaton attachments then trusts could become wildly useful, assuming we can take the items back.
Can I lend qultada all my +roll gear?
Can I lend Sylvie my Idris?
Can I dump all my bard REMA onto Joachim?
My Epeo to Amchu?
I seriously doubt they'd take it that far, but if they did then, yes, our trusts would become truly formidable.
Would also massively solve inventory issues for a pack rat like me.

There was a system before this, where based on the number of people in the group the trust was boosted.
If you had 5/6, you no longer get that boost. So the question is, what have you lost compared to that and how much do you have to boost to get them back to that level.

They gained a paltry 1 level of stats per boost. So the new system is significantly better.
You'll have to go back in time for "proof" when someone posted HP solo, with 2, with 3, with 4 etc
All that matters is it was not even close to 250, and the stats scale the same.

so if we compare the known boost from things like pet levels being +5 to a stat per level, then with just 1 trust and 5 players, that trust would have been boosted by 5 levels or +25 to all stats, so it stands to reason that at 25 in all stats they are the same, and anything higher is better than the best that was formerly possible.

I didn't notice the old trust system did anything until it was gone lol. Over capacity was complete for me and i did get the +x level vs. #people in party buff. I usually farm Dyna D on my mlvl 25 thf and usually go with two other people. So I have a party of 3 with 3 trusts. Before the patch dropped my trust never died to Mijin Gakure from mobs in there. After the new trust patch dropped, Mijin Gakure totally wipes out all my trust. So it did something!!! lol
I just maxed out HP and VIT and will report back to see if they still die later.

Trusts are definitely stronger. 4/5 survived VD Fenrir when ordinarily they'd get one shot. MM45 AAEV still got mopped by Ongo V25 during aura, so hoping Magic Evasion and Magic Defense Bonus is an upgradeable stat in the future. No trusts died during Ubnai V25 solo even with one add out (normally they start falling apart around this time). The extra HP/INT helps for sure (Valaineral still lost hate).
I'll try them on an Omen boss later and see if Meteor/Comet still obliterates them the same as before.

Its for RP not clear. I just go on DRK. Ygnas/Qultada/Arciela II or King of Hearts/Ulmia or whatever's left after doing Ongo > Sgili triple farm. Spam Origin or Catastrophe. I don't get past 68%, but its just to complete the charge, so doesn't matter (6% is enough)

Thanks for the help ill do that soon. They are really making content in the game more soloable which is both good and bad. Bad because I like partying with people and making your trusts super powerful and stronger, well then you dont need to party as much if that's the case. It's supposed to be an online game but its different than FF14 where you join instances and party against a specific monster or NM or clearing a dungeon.
I like the changes though, I was wondering when trusts would be able to get a buff or if they would be nerfed outright.

I bet it's All Magic Skills and All Physical Skills instead of a single category. Gives us twice as many places to spend points and you'd eventually want to do both. I agree that it feels pretty unlikely that they'd make us do every single skill like it's merits or something, unless the category cap is also ~8 per skill like merits.

So it's just flat skill upgrades next, they over-hyped this update to be more than it was with the comment about it being similar to the pup system. It seems there is no functional changes at all.
They are effectively just upping the base level of trusts and making it take a year, so they get their sub money out of you.
The addition to ambuscade is something (sounds like you can only get them from gallantry, which goes against the point of trusts in the first place), but not the best idea since it will just cause congestion. It would have been far better to just add an RoE that gives them as a reward for grinding a set number of mobs. The game is built around grinding mobs and all.

Trust upgrades aren't even a regular "accomplishment" if you will, they just raise the ceiling of what is possible to accomplish for solo players later down the line.
Most of those solo players are way behind on content anyway and those who aren't most likely have a friend group or alts and don't need them in the first place.
Imho it doesn't make sense to pile a extra year of time gate on top of people who already need to play catch up for the next couple of years.

That's not quite accurate. Trust primer acquisition is done in parallel with all the other accomplishment farming via stuff new players would be doing anyway for deeds / gear.
Also, if I earned 400 points and spent them after the system was complete because I'm a new joiner, I'd spend it on the most valuable upgrades first. Now, because I'm upgrading as it's released, I have points in VIT and ***.
If there's a good argument against it, it's that the game is super complicated already without yet another point system. However, it's so terminally complicated at this point that it probably only appeals to people that want to figure out how to optimize a super complicated system and maybe adding yet another obscure point system may be considered an improvement.

If any real boosts come it won't be until the pup menu and then you'll have to choose between DT-1 and roll+1
With the implementation of the new trust upgrade system, which trust do you think will be the most useful. I noticed the base stats were 0/50, so presumably a boost of +50 to each stat?
I think boosting August's VIT, HP, AGI and MND might be my first port of call.
