Monstrosity — Dedication Effects

“ Chain Monstrosity Bonus Campaign - PLUS!
Experience chains will yield double to triple the normal amount of experience for the duration of the campaign. Additionally, the maximum benefit of Dedication from items will be doubled.”

The campaign says we get double XP from Dedication (EXP Rings). But I can’t equip an exp ring as a monster.

How do you get this effect in Monstrosity? Surely it must be possible if they list it on the campaign!

You get the Dedication effect from the buff NPC in the Feretory.

Can't you also use the ring before you enter?

IIRC entering monstrosity wipes it.

Really wish they would update the species list, seems like they're done with it altogether. :/

They switched the person that was working on it to a different (non-ffxi) project just after releasing player-vs-monster. It isn't clear what their development plan after that point was going to be, but iirc they added another genus or two of monsters in the .dats that are unobtainable. I don't know how close they were to being releasable, but considering it has been something like a decade I doubt even the original dev remembers.
