My questions:
1.) What games are you looking forward to playing in 2025?
2.) What games are you playing right now or have played recently that you want others to try?
I am currently playing Fallout Tactics, the last 2D classic Fallout that I need to complete before moving to Bethesda Fallout. I've been trying to run through Fallout series plus getting into the trpg version recently.
I wouldn't recommend to FOT to anyone except the most hardcore FO fan though, lol. It's a very very flawed game despite the mood and world building is great, and it definitely needs a modern remake.
The game that I played recently and would recommend to other people is probably Mass Effect 2. It's one of these game that feels mediocre at start but absolutely delivered in the end. Getting the best end on my first try without a guide feels like those amazing moment that the game rewards the player for paying attention to the story and building bonds.
Even though gameplay is outdated, the story structure itself and final mission concept can stand the test of time IMO.
The unrelased game that I look forward this year:
1) The Outer World's II: I am a simple gamer, I see sci-fi crpg with dialogue trees, I like.
2) Slay the Spire II: The first one is the game that defined roguelike deck building genre, and still the best roguelike deck building IMO. Supporting the second game only because of the dev is an easy choice.
3) Atelier Resleriana: The red alchemist and white guardian: I am a fan of Atelier Resleriana's story and world. So I am kinda rooting for this game. I hope it doesn't flop like Atelier Yumia did...
Other games on my to play list next: Balatro, Tyranny, LA Noire.
I feel this year I'd ended up playing more crpg than usual, lol. I am currently feeling like playing ton of crpg atm.
