I thought almost all of this gear was lackluster :/ because there is much much better gear you can mix and match with at 75. like why bother with lvl 71 hands with +2 acc and +3 STR for SAM? Um... I'll either use Dusk Gloves (because haste > all), Hachiman Kote (I don't need them with rindomaru), Hydra Finger Gauntlets (hey there's +5 acc and even some attack), or Pallas's bracelets with +9 STR for ws...

or all that PLD gear with like +2 enmity each piece, and maybe -2% physical or magic damage... there are once again better mix and match pieces with more physical/magic damage down, and much better pieces with more enmity..

sorry for all the complaining, maybe i'll feel better when i actually see it.

did all the iron ram gear plds out there just do a collective doh! ?? /em looks at invo space ,looks at new gear /em scratchs head wondering where to put it all..

Not really... Can Cap MDT w/ nonvisible pieces + Shell V, so the MDB on IR set beats any MDT on these pieces. Some of the Overall Damage down bits look nice though/

All the Ebon gear is crafted the old fashioned way, but has quite a high level (At 85 smithing I was offered head hands and feet recipes to skill-up on, but not body and legs, my friend was given the body recipe at level 99, meaning body is level 100) and involves sub-crafts, although not sure what level.

They're also reasonably expensive; the smithing ones require scintillant ingots and dark adaman sheets, leather uses angel skins and amphiptere leathers. On top of that, EVERY new synthesis recipe added into the game this update that I or my friends have found from guild NPC's require drops from the new NM's to make.

Long story short, they won't be cheap, and have crap stats. This leads me to believe that they will be synergy-able, being able to add three stats to each one I guess.

That was from a .dat miner, hard so say at this point exactly what each of those options will actually do though, aside from making most of this gear very situational.

As for the difference between Ebon, Furia and Ebur, it looks to be just a simple quick fix colour change using these: Ebon Pigment, Furia Pigment, Ebur Pigment.

And funnily enough, the description on the pigments confirms that this gear will be used with synergy, but since they are already craftable before synergy has been released, it also gives a very small insight into how synergy works. Ie: It doesn't look like we'll be making gear at all with synergy, but simply adding in the augmentable slots onto pre-existing gear.
