We now have an updated version of the FFXIDB plugin that works on Linux, including the Steam Deck.

It is currently in testing on the Dev launcher channel, but you can grab it and use it with Live as well. (If you don't know which channel you use, or you followed our Linux setup instructions, you're almost certainly on Live.)

You can grab it here:
https://update.windower.net/dev/plugins/FFXIDB.dll

If you're so inclined, please give it a try and let us know if you run into any problems with it. If there are no major issues reported, we'll probably roll it out to Live soon.

I am not aware of any changes beyond what was necessary to fix it on Linux.

He meant ffxib.com

The plugin and the drop site, afaik, are unrelated.

The plugin provides drop data to the ffxidb.com website (or at least it used to), AFAIK, hence the name. Not sure if it still does.

You are both correct it gets data from more than 1 source.

the FFXIDB plugin was only planned to provide data but never implemented.

I know this wasn't the point of the update but could it be resolved that the text when hovering onto a dot is behind the map in layering? Unless it's a me-only bug it's quite an issue. I was trying to get a screenshot but I might post one later if the issue is not known

Is there a way to have a set zoom for all zones?

Like if I put the minimap to a certain zoom level and zone it seems to reset on the new map.

I’ve always been curious why sometimes red and green dots show up radar wise and sometimes not.
