thought the conquest tally theory was interesting in regards to kclub
hard to know if true, but just to contribute to that theory, I personally went through about 250-300 orbs before getting one to drop. I scrolled back to look at the date on my screenshot and saw it was on a Sunday evening
i actually was theorizing for a bit that it might allocate 0-1 clubs per server on conquest tally, since the first drop was relatively soon after i started spamming it and the other 2 were both on tally days relatively soon after it occured (it would be weird to uniquely code that for conquest tally, but there's also a limiter on the 5m gil in trove of some sort, since i went 0/50k+ on that.. possibly it's stored as extdata at time of orb purchase?)
Were these all done in a short time on the same character? I don’t know much about game data, but this made me wonder if SE implemented something specifically for exploits like this. Like, you can only roll for the drop 10 times per conquest tally or some arbitrary time period, and after that the game stops rolling for the club in case you’re exploiting something. Is that possible?

The idea that they'd stop rolling based on number of runs on the off chance there was an exploit makes no sense. Limiting it based on number of runs to favor players who play small amounts, might make sense. I wouldn't even put some kind of character-wide depletable luck stat past them for particularly low probability events.
However, it was done on 2 characters(not partied, running seperate instances) over a roughly month-long period.
I've lost count of how many times I've done it, but I do remember the very first time I did the BCNM. LS leader convinced us to spend our seals on going there, in attempt to get it for his DRK. This was around late 08/early 09. Probably shortly after they introduced Octave Club.
I always thought it'd come in just before the pearls in the list heh.
I don't play any of the jobs that actually benefit from it. It was just my white whale.
It gave me a good night of "wait, dancer isn't on this? dropped!" dad jokes. Now I guess it's my bard club.
I keep gear out for MNK, THF, BRD, BLM, RUN, DNC and have SMN, SCH, GEO, and PLD gear squirreled away, so I'm truly about the worst person to get this club.
If you consider kclub at a bil and estimate I made about 110mil in npcables along the way, then I ultimately got about 13.5k/seal on 82k seals (about 5mil/hr). I better stop now, lol
It was my first run of the day and I only had like 40k on me because I cheat Monberaux every week
From what BG say, you can put your gils in MG gil repository, keep 100k on you and only use 10k to donate Monberaux. If that may help lol
What you described is exactly what he meant by "I cheat monberaux every week". He had his real gil in mog garden but forgot (or didn't care) to take it out.

Ohh, my bad. I thought he said he only had 40k total xD. That's how i understood the sentence ^^'

That's hilarious lmao. Getting k club drop truly feels like a "beat the game" accomplishment though. RNG savage blade/aeolian edge/flaming arrow/trueflight spam builds were some of my most fun things to do with that stick though, highly recommend if you ever get around to it!
With how strong weapons are now, is Kraken Club just a trophy these days, do DRKs still zerg in it, or is it just for like fun non-serious solo/party play?
