So I've been getting a lot of questions about gearswaps, luas, and if we could do something, or add a functions or something along those lines.
So it occurred to me that we have great resources around about how to put your gear in them, and all that stuff. But not much on how it actually works. So I've been starting to thinker about making a tutorial around making your own gearswap lua from scratch. Not just copy pasting someone's and putting your gear in it but actually making your own.
So before we start, here's a few things:
1) This isn't a how to make the best ever lua.
2) It's like an online class based on giving the tools to understand how gearswap works, with a bit of intro to programming sprinkled on top.
3) It's not a comprehensive programming class.
With those caveats in mind, lets dig in!
Class #1 -- What's gearswap and how to make sets.
Class #2 -- Rules and Making your first swap.
Class #3 -- Using logic to make smart magic swaps.
Class #4 -- Handling JA and WS.
Class #5 -- Handling Idle, Engaged, TP and DT sets properly.
Class #6 -- Including Modes for Normal or Magic Burst Nuking sets. And spell mapping for categorizing.
Each Class (above) will become links to separated threads as each class is released.
The reason behind is so each class has its own thread so people can ask questions and / or answer them based on the material of each class. And general feedback in this master thread.
Ps. Would be cool to pin this one up top. <3
