It's Tesla, I wouldn't worry about it, it's a fancy and ugly car for rich people.
I'd be more worried about them having bulletproof windows which can't stop bullets.
at $40k~70k, and with a fuel cost and maintenance likely totaling 20~30% what you'd pay if you owned any other truck; that's a truck for anyone who won't go over its range in a work day as it'd probably take 2 hours to recharge at a supercharger station.
Also, only those who's use for a truck isn't impeded by the form factor.
If you have enough money in the bank to front-end your gas costs of your truck, will be ready to trade out the old bruiser in 3~5 years from now, and actually willing to be seen driving that PS1 graphics vehicle. It's the Truck for you.
The bullet proof windows bit ... they really laid on the dystopia bit quite hard in their release. The fact that someone shot a bullet into their own Tesla battery pack before, causing the whole thing to turn into a pyre might have something to do with the new truck being bullet proof.
