Converting PD To MP

Good day, RUNs.

I've been searching around and cannot find an answer. When something that converts PD to MP, ethereal earring for example, does that prevent the PD and turn it into MP or do you still take the PD but gain some MP as well?

I saw on the Endeavoring to Awaken guide here that Erilaz Surcoat is put above Futhrak coat for -PDT.

Ok. After looking at the suggested gear set, I see why. It reaches the -50% PDT cap even without the - DT on Futhrak.

Man, if we got to go back to 2005 the FIRST thing I would do is smash my ps2 with this game on it. In the end it made me money but i'd rather have those first 12 years of "play" for literally anything else.
