Since we already have a wind based summon, wonder if she will be a buff only sort or wind based dmg?
I thought they mentioned something about it being difficult to add new spells to the game because our pool slots were nearly full. I wonder if they found a way to shift avatar summons over to act like trust summons.
My guess is this will be another AF locked avatar that will have any usability quickly scrapped because it would just take away the damage potential from Ifrit and Ramuh. During the video there was no astral flow animation being used. Ofc that doesn't mean anything, but I don't think it will be af only.

So the Mission Siren uses following:
Hysteric Assault - Fivefold attack that deals Physical Damage to the target. Also drains HP proportional to the damage it dealt. Lunatic Voice - Conal target Mute (unremovable silence). Sonic Buffet - Conal target Element: Wind magic damage. Additional Effect: 2~3 Dispel. Entice - Conal target Charm. Only used during the duration of Soul Voice. Clarsach Call (used at 25%) - High Element: Wind magic damage with a radius exceeding 25-30 yalms. Additional Effect: Magic Attack, Magic Accuracy, Magic Evasion, Magic Defense Bonuses applied to Siren. Hysteric Assault & Sonic Buffet looks promising.

She was originally planned to coincide with SoA... but that was ditched at some point and her plot was shifted to Rhapsodies.
So it's not too surprising that we'll get her (or that her potential BPs were cannibalized for the RoV fight and Teles). Though I AM surprised that they'd go back and fill her out. Where is this information coming from, what video do you speak of?

This is welcome news. It opens the door for other "new" (old) avatars in the future. I had previously seen people express feelings like "they won't add ____ as an avatar" and yet it's 2019 and here we are getting a new one. There is no telling what the next two years (or however long it will be until their big surprise is implemented) or beyond holds in store.
At least with Smn getting Siren I am given some hope that Bst will get new pets.

Maybe it was even pre Zilart/NA. They could charm Rocs, Rams, and Malboros. I think at this point (BST119) they could control those types finally. Since the spell list is near its limit, it seems like they picked a spell we'll most likely never get and plan on replacing it for Siren.

Well the spell limit was something from the PS2 days where they had limited memory. Now that PS2 support has been fully dropped it's possible they could extend the memory range of that list. Same with how they have us inventory bags.
"PS2 Limitation" has been the #1 evil boss that haunted this game since forever and I am not too sure if this boss is even beatable.

Well the PS2 had very limited memory and lots of tricks had to be employed to even get the game to run. They have been slowly making things better since dropping support. So I guess Siren is what SMNs will get instead of a group #2 Merits shuffle?
