Yes, as far as I know Wind's Blessing is the only buffing ward affected by anything besides summoning skill.

Is Wind Blessing (and maybe Stoneskinga) the only non-Debuff wards that care about pet stats?
The max HP of the Avatar also affects the potency of healing pacts.

Does that mean that I should add Assiduity pants +1 R15 and remove baayami pants from my smn skill set for Winds Blessing?

Ah good catch Crevox, that's correct. I knew I had to be forgetting something.

Do you have an idea of what the increased potency is and can I achieve capped Blessing with those changes? I can't imagine the loss in duration would be overly concerning although at 678 skill I think I get just over 7 minutes, and buffs any lower than that give me heartburn.

precast versus midcast BP:
Why wouldn't reduced BP delay gear go in the precast slots instead of Baayami set?

As it says in the guide, "There's a favor tier at 670 skill that's hard to hit." Hence Baayami. Reduced BP delay has a cap.

precast versus midcast BP:
Why wouldn't reduced BP delay gear go in the precast slots instead of Baayami set? Max you can get from gear+job point gifts is -30s delay, the rest is Avatar Favor Tiers and smn skill which raises favor tier.
BP I -15, BP II -15, BPIII(JP Gift) -10 = 40, But the cap is -30, add in avatar favor for another -8sec with Beckoners Horn+1 and -9 if you have B.horn+1 and 670 skill & -20BP in precast. For a grand total of 21sec BP precast.

For my Precast, I have Glyphic Doublet and Pigaches +3 for a total BP delay II - 7. Swapping Baayami pieces in for those seems like it would be counter-productive. NOTE: I don't have a Nirvana.

Here's what I have...help me with the math, and help me understand the "why" when choosing the right gear. I know it's probably simple, but I'm still missing it.
Code -- Pact delay reduction gear I-15, II-17, III-10
sets.precast.BloodPactWard = {
main="Espiritus", -- II-2
sub="Elan Strap +1",
ammo="Sancus Sachet +1", -- II-7
head="Baayami Hat +1",
body="Glyphic Doublet +3", -- II-4
hands="Baayami Cuffs +1", -- I-7
legs="Baayami Slops +1", -- I-8
feet="Glyphic Pigaches +3", -- II-3
neck="Caller's Pendant",
waist="Lucidity Sash",
left_ear="C. Palug Earring",
right_ear="Lodurr Earring",
left_ring="Evoker's Ring",
right_ring="Stikini Ring +1",
back="Conveyance Cape", -- II-1
}
I have the entire Baayami +1 set. I do not yet have Convoker's stuff, except for the +2 head.

So from the front page, this set says BP Ability Delay II - 15, but I count -12. 2 from the staff, 7 from the sachet, 3 from the cape. What am I missing?

The gifts, which apply to both BPI / II. You have 13 BP I and 12 BP II with that set, but you also take 10 from the gifts and add 2 to BP1 and 3 to BPII, which puts them both at the cap of -15 each, and 5 BPIII left over which doesn't get applied to anything because I/II are already at cap.

There are 12 BPII. Maybe he just wrote BPII-15 as a reminder of the caps.

the big chunk from job master gifts.

Crossbones, THANK YOU. I completely misunderstood how the gifts were applied, and this explains what I was missing. Now I can re-do my own gearswap. I really appreciate it.

All right. Given my new understanding and the gear I have (I just don't have some) here's what I got:
Code -- Pact delay reduction gear I-15, II-13, III-10
-- Total Summoning Magic Skill 681
sets.precast.BloodPactWard = {
main="Espiritus", -- II-2
sub="Vox Grip",
ammo="Sancus Sachet +1", -- II-7
head="Baayami Hat +1",
body="Baayami Robe +1",
hands="Baayami Cuffs +1", -- I-7
legs="Baayami Slops +1", -- I-8
feet="Glyphic Pigaches +3", -- II-3
neck="Caller's Pendant",
waist="Lucidity Sash",
left_ear="C. Palug Earring",
right_ear="Lodurr Earring",
left_ring="Evoker's Ring",
right_ring="Stikini Ring +1",
back="Conveyance Cape", -- II-1
}
Working on getting the Beckoner's Horn.

Yo, am I late to the party, or is 20 seconds the best BP recast? Because I thought it was 21 sec., but I just got 20 sec.

21sec is the lowest.

Here's my set:
ItemSet 373293
Yer probably right. After multiple tests, I'm getting 20 seconds sometimes and 21 seconds at other times.

Swap Caller's Pendant for Incanter's. AFAIK you don't need to swap weapon/grip with that gearset since you'll be capped if you're master.
By Galkapryme 2020-05-23 16:15:07
I want to get the torque, waist, and staff. But for now, this is good. Lowest possible recast time, and a good duration.
By Galkapryme 2020-05-23 16:45:44
So here's what I've come across pretty regularly:
Utilizing gearswap (from one set to another), my above set gets me a 23-second recast.
When I happen to be wearing the above set BEFORE I even do the job ability, I'm at a 20-second recast.
I figure latency is the cause for the first number.

You don't need to swap staff/grip is what I'm saying, you're already capped.

It's also the cause for the second number. 21 is the lowest you can get.

My next dumb question has to do with midcast Bloodpact - specifically the pants. Why Enticer's Pants instead of Apogee pants? Apogee Legs +1 path D gives total 21 BP damage. I'm assuming it's because of the 650 TP bonus (which I never really understood). Does it mean that the TP bonus is added to the current TP? Or that 650 TP is what you get back AFTER the BP?
By Galkapryme 2020-05-24 18:23:18
By the way...I appreciate all of you providing input to a guy trying to better understand the job. It really does mean a lot, and I apply what I learn.

Apogee +1 pants will beat Enticer's if Avatar TP is 1500 and up and merits are 5/5.
TP bonus, like all the gear as well will execute the WS/BP as if you'd have that amount. Executing a BP at 1000 TP with 650 TP bonus would act like the BP went off at 1650 TP.
