Dems have one more shot tomorrow to get in line before Trump says “well I tried but I have to declare a national emergency”.

They fell right into his trap.

1/10 rebuttal. You acknowledge the Trump tariffs as “anti free market” but not the things that led to them.... such as the preexisting tariffs of OTHER countires.

Jesus christ man.

Yes and those countries put tariffs because free market doesn't work well for them, mostly because bigger foreign corporations are eating their local market ... the concept isn't hard, you are fully supporting your country doing the exact same thing.

I support Trumps use of tariffs as a tool of leverage to level out the market. This is with the stated end goal to get to a free-er, more equitable market (that have less tariffs) between countries. The leveraged tariffs aren't part of that solution, only used as a means to get to the solution. Can you thread that level of detail, or "orange man bad"?

I am for raising the wage to a reasonable amount. I am against just raising it for fast food workers like my state of NY is doing. $15 for fast food...aww hell naw

And all of those places have different costs of living. That states' rights thing, what a novel concept.

That being said, if I were you, I'd be focusing on why the frick New Hampshire can't be convinced to give people a higher minimum wage. If you can't even get Democrats in a high income state to budge, then you've got a fat chance of winning over the remaining reds.

Counting two outright lies, two exaggerations, one really bizarre Vietnam reference, and no progress.

Nh has a pretty low cost of living.

Northern New England is much different than southern New England.

It's all relative. NH may be low cost of living for New England, but at least according to the figures I'm looking at it's still sitting in the top ten nationally.

Actually we are going with three Trump lies, 1 exaggeration, and one bizarre Vietnam reference. Certainly isn't convincing Americans a border wall is needed.

As if anything he said would have convinced you otherwise? The speech isn't for you.

What point are you trying to make with statements like this? There isn't a single politician who doesn't lie, distort, and exaggerate on a regular basis. Selective outrage is selective outrage.

Trump hit a home run last night. Democrats are walking right into his trap. They were prepared for a different speech, they are sp easy and predictable to play. Support for the wall grows by the minute. Esoecially when these two robots come out against it.

Ok so you are against free market. Im glad we could clarify this.
No, im not against it. You aren’t understanding what is happening. The market ISNT FREE, supporting action to make it free (or free-er) does not = i am aginst the free market. It means i am for it.

Gotcha, you are supporting methods that do the exact opposite of what you want to achieve your goal.

Is this also how MAGA works? Do the exact opposite of what's needed to be done to make America great to make it Russia greater?

Doing the opposite is how Canada got where it is today.

You should know this. Everything is *** backwards in Canada !

There was a bit of speculation as who the Democrats would use to rebut the President after his speech.

The Democrats chose two of the least-liked people on their entire bench.

Well played.

A day later and nothing has changed, the Trump shutdown drags on. I guess his next stunt is a visit to the border, that will accomplish a lot.
