It's kinda weird how libs are treating this like some kind of massive victory that spells the end for Trump, when Obama got his clock absolutely cleaned in the House races at the same time in his presidency. It's also weird how they view this as meaning Trump is no longer popular, when every senator that he stumped for save two won their elections. Every senator that Obama stumped for lost their elections this year.

But yeah, uh, Drumpf is done or something.

Trump has enjoyed negative ratings for his entire Presidency, and that was demonstrated last night when he became a lame duck and saw his legislative agenda go down in flames. No border wall, no Obamacare repeal, no more tax cuts for the wealthy, no new NAFTA, and plenty of indictments on the way.

The two biggest Senate races he personally wanted to win ended in losses for him, and right now their gains stand at..1? Florida is Florida, so who really knows, and Arizona is days/weeks away from a result. Mississippi is a runoff so again, who knows.

Can't wait, the Electoral College map favors the Dems, Trump can't win in Pennsylvania or Michigan again.

I told you that was false several pages back.

So, by your logic, Obama was completely useless for the last six years of his presidency. I mean, I agree with that, but yeah....

As for the remaining Senate races, a majority of outlets have already called Florida for the Republicans, Arizona is looking good for them as well, and Mississippi is just viewed as a given. Expect no less than 53 by the time this is done, which sets them up very nicely in 2020.

Oh yea, Trump ressurected the lie about his tax returns today, but his opinion on the subject no longer matters, Maxine is gonna subpoena them on her first day =)

Fantastic. I had a great laugh when Rachel Maddow revealed a whole lot of nothing, so let's go for a repeat of that.

I swear you people don't understand how tax returns work.

We understand that the House can subpoena them in their entirety and then make them public, anything else?

Seriously, what are you guys actually expecting to see from these returns? It is completely irrelevant if Maxine or whoever else in Congress gets a hold of them, because Mueller could have easily obtained them for his own investigation which is supposedly almost over.

The only benefit to the tax returns to Congress is if they have anything potentially embarrassing to Trump on a personal level that is then leaked to the media. I don't doubt for a second that it is their intent to do just that, but it's also the most sleazy use of subpoena power imaginable.

Whatever Trump is hiding in his taxes isnt going to be leaked to the media lol, the Committee is going to release them to the public, legally. Meanwhile, its too late to fire Mueller, now that the Dems are in charge, they can just appoint him again.
