Mars. You can't expect to "beat" this event without considerable amount of orbs per month. If you play 1 or 2 accounts, then you're not likely to hit it big for months.
I also now continue hitting chests unless I get: 1 chest(mimic) left, a single loud thud, or 2-3 thuds. Tired of inventory being clogged by worn/frayed sacks and synthesis items I care very little about. You don't pay for my sub.

I meant steal their chests. Of course you can position hack anywhere you want lmao. I used to do that to watch people and learn how to do stuff a long time ago.
fairly certain you cant hijack boxes anymore though. Lucky mule got Dagon on 1st chest opened off Mars orb:

There's nothing, it's just chance ID's change, they actually did a decent job not *** this one up (from a hack perspective)
The BCNM loads 10 Coffers and 10 Chests 'O Plenty.
When you open a Coffer O' Plenty it pings the server and sends back either Chest O' Plenty Spawn instructions and Coffer 'O Plenty Despawn instructions, or the Coffer if Plenty Chest Open animation with a noise, thud, or loud thud chat entry. The second half there is conjecture, but I've confirmed the first bit. Whether you get a mimic or whether a chest open is very likely decided server side, on open based on the models already loaded in the BC. Been opening with just normal thud so far over the last months, and I got nothing except an Escha Zi'tah body.

Yup feel your pain, I've got 6 bewitched items (not even HQ) on all my loud thuds, except one, the auto re-raise body from Escha Zi'tah. I did gank an orpheous sash from one of my alt's runs though. This was how I played it and ended up with Regal Gloves (sold), Regal Captain's Gloves, SHAMASH Robe (sold),and Ashera Harness (!!!). All loud thuds. Of course I'd say about 75% of the loud Thurs I ran into were crap.
