Could it be that just like right went further right that the left is now going further left?
The right didn't go further right, it's much the same as late 80's to early 90's, which has been a problem lately. Social Conservatism is defined by it's resistance to change. Instead the left in the USA has dialed it up to 11 and gone full communist, something that would of been unthinkable two decades ago. What was once a fringe element of "*** capitalism, take those rich *** ***and give it to us" has now become the main pillar of the left, especially among young twenty-somethings who see older people with ***they want now.
Bernie Sanders, who is "independent" because he believed the Democrats weren't socialist enough, has been heralded as some sort of patron saint.
If your on about immigration, Conservatives has always been about controlled immigration and are still ok with controlled immigration. Liberals want zero borders (what the *** do you think catch and release is) and full citizenship to all those poor people who will vote to give themselves ***. The right sees the left trying to pad their numbers and gain a future uncontested majority through population manipulation and freaks he *** out.
And a President Trump is the result.
