I transferred to Asura from Quetz years ago.

To be honest, there were a lot of *** on Quetz.

Competing with people for Empress Hairpin and Peacock Charm and actually making friends with them

Never getting a job invite for Yhoator because I was RDM/WAR, and being really mad that I had to level mage subjobs

Seeing my first relic (Kikoku) and being floored that they actually existed in-game

DRG/WHM and DRG/SAM solo/duos for certain endgame content (Hagun, Hedgehog Bomb)

Having to *** climb Uleguerand Range and then fall down the cliff at a specific location to get to the secret tunnel for the ENM pop

Climbing the mountain in Attowha Chasm..............

Waiting every week to hope that Bastok would somehow win the goddamn Fauregandi campaign region to unlock the teleport ("Bastok, more like Lastok")

Still play this damn game from 2004. Was on Quetz but transferred to Asura in 2010 with some friends.

I started in 08, took me about 4-5 months to hit 75 too. Felt like such an achievement!

I remember chi-blast monk for hnm's till I eventually leveled and geared black mage.

leveling bard and wondering why I was being spammed with party invites when I wasn't seeking.

Started playing back in 2002 during initial PS2 release.

I remember 48 hour Tiamat's.... Osode and SH+1 was the truth alonside O.Hat. I also remember my LS paying thousands of dollars of IRL money to get a claim bot that ruled the world.

Was on Quetz since 2004 PS2 NA Release, migrated to Asura to make some cash money about 2(?) years ago.

Finding it hard to justify going back to Quetz anytime soon but I feel like eventually I will, I get Messages from my old friends every now and then asking me how life is, makes me wanna go back just a lil bit.

Unicorn native, merged to Fenrir. Originally started on NA release, but I started as blm and got frustrated that I couldn't beat mobs to death with a staff after I ran out of MP. I got to lvl 9, then delvld to 8, over and over again to the point of I quit for a year before I tried again lol. I've quit and come back several times because even if you get tired of the game, it calls you back because there really isn't the same sense of community on any other MMO I've ever played.

funny story: was doing the mission in sacrarium and one of the party was standing in front of the 2 key door. he started saying his sneak was dropping, as there was a party of fomor standing right there. so rather than running off to the side to recast it, he just stayed at the door and sneak dropped of course, and the fomor ate us. it was a very messy recovery. idiot lol

Kujata native since NA release. Then Kujata was eaten by Valefore at some point. Moved to Asura I think 4? Years ago? I loved my old LS but they were mostly EU and I’m EST so raids were never happening.

Server is alive but something like 70% JP and these guys DO NOT play with English. We’re often several measures more skilled and geared than they are and excellent communicators but they still say no...

Heard Asura had a strong English population so popped over to see what was up and never left. Recently it’s been “Merc Of All Things” but there’s still lots of shouts to do stuff and I like that.

how about when the AH weren't linked. so to get money you could farm outside one town, but sell at another. where stuff on the AH actually sold.
paying for a raise in the dunes...
watching a lvl 75 BLM destroy mobs by the craigs and being in awe
missing the airship to kazham, therefor losing out on the party spot cause you were taking to long.
fishing and tossing rusty subs/leg before nin spell quests, then having to pay 20-50k for 1 after.
not getting party invites outside whitegate cause you didnt have nin sub on.

could go on and on.
So much easier now days
