What's that, P&R? You wanna hear what I think of the Taurus Judge and S&W Governor? Okay then!
Personally, I think they suck. Why? Well, if you need to ask why, you've obviously never fire a regular birdshot shell through a rifled slug barrel. Admittedly, neither have I but I've seen it done and know that the rifling spins the shot and causes the spinning wadding to open with a spin, lowering effective range.
This means that if you buy a Judge or Governor (the gun, not the elected official) to take out small predators trying to get your chickens or deflower your daughter, your shot will scatter in a wider pattern and possibly cause collateral damage. Many ammo combo packs come with .45 Colt home defense and .410 bore slugs.
This gun also gave rise to people who think "Oh, it's a .410, it'll fire .45 Colt!" No, that's not necessarily true.
In conclusion; the Judge/Governor can easily be outclassed in every use by something else.
