So what exactally changed about how the internet works today?
I'm so confused when looking it up it's all in legalises
Right now nothing, but if it goes unchallenged in court ISP's will start throttling/blocking the internet for certain things, like gaming / torrents / porn / social medias.

They'll end up charging you and/or websites to get on the "fast lane" or unblocked.
So basically we have gone back to the 1990s when the internet was dialup and charged long distance fee's depending on where you went on the internet?
More like 2015 when Comcast was going to charge extra for not throttling your streaming. Which is why the regulation as a utility thing happened.

The fact that the women's march is unhappy about this FCC thing makes me happy. So not all is bad.

Only reason Netflix is mad is they are afraid they will have to charge users more money for their ***tier movies. So instead of say 19.99 per month it might go to 25.00 month to watch Gigli.

I seriously doubt it will go anywhere near that bad. Remember most mobile phones have better wireless service now that most people had wired internet in late 90s/early 2000s.

There wasn't any reason to change the regulations this way other than to give telecoms more power to micromanage web usage so my optimism is more than a little low about it all.

Yo if someone wants 4k speeds on Netflix, I shouldn't have to pay for it until I want it.

They should pay for it, what's wrong with that?
If they really wanted, Comcast could now completely block access to breitbart and infowars. I would love to see this happen, if only to potentially drive home to certain demographics what the end of NN can actually do now.

I'm in a red state, our congressmen only care about where penises are put, stopping medical marijuana, limiting what control a woman has over the actions of her uterus, and hiding behind Jesus.

I'm not saying they wont try to get more out of us. I'm just saying they aren't going make wired internet worse than mobile... unless you living in no reception boonies
