When the lack of images force them to put both ambuscade v1 and v2 pictures on the version update banner, you know the next month doe (not) promise...
Treant and orcs ambuscade
April will be lame because it is as it has always been. The 5th and 11th month are always big months for this game. (5th month being the anniversary date of release and 11th month because... FF 11). Basically April will be a dud, but May will have all Super Kupowers active, new ambuscade, probably additions to Odyssey, probably Summer trust set, and they normally would have the free-to-play campaign... but they... just did that.

developing games can easily be done with home office.
Coronavirus isnt a justifiable reason to slack off on ffxi
You have no idea how their development process looks like. If they are used to work face to face for years, it will obviously impact they work if they change to remote. You also dont know if maybe someone from stuff isnt sick, breaking normal chain of work.
Honestly, if a big, resourceful Studio like SE can't even setup remote work pipeline then I would seriously question their competency.
Many small indie studios that I know of switched to remote working within a few days, so does large VFX studio that has in house pipeline for years. Maybe not the entire pipeline but some part of it. So it isn't THAT hard to switch in this field, its not rocket science technology.
This is exactly opposite. Indie studios will have far easier time to switch to remote than big company. In big company everything process for days or weeks, especially when we are talking about something that has least priority (lets not delude ourselves, they will first set remote development for FFXIV and maybe even few other small games. They have also FFVII Remake premiere soon. They dont give a ***about FFXI development problems right now)
My extremely uninformed contribution to this is that if SE has to use physical PS2 devkits to update it, remote work for FFXI is actually impossible.

That's not a problem and hasn't been one for awhile now. They had to use the PS2 Dev kits back when the game was required to be compatible with PS2 units and for a period after the support was discontinued. Takes some time to update a toolchain.

Treant and orcs ambuscade
Easy fix - bring empy items back to login campaign and most players won't care that nothing is new.
Or Mog Bonanza, because it's */random* National Poetry Month!

Or a damn card campaign, that would be plenty to make it a good month. Just shows they really don't keep track of campaign variance, or don't care. Probably a bit of both.

Guys, give the dev team a break, it takes all of 10 minutes to cycle out the old ambuscades for an update. That's a lot of work!

Don't worry guys, there's gonna be a double lustreless scale campaign, Odyssey time extension campaign, empyrean +3 gear AND a new chemist job release before beastmaster and ninja ever gets fixed. Soo there's a lot to look forward to!

I have a feeling that all you need is give elemental ninjutsu some massive native amount of macc and it would be nothing to be joke about.

Remote work for something this old with outdated ***that is likely in short supply isnt really feasible. At least not on a dime.

It’s amazing how they still won’t reduce the trade ratio for Omen even though it’s been out for years...

Probably omen is a content they consider finished and already forgotten on their schedule.
Unfortunelly, at this point i guess dyna div is also in this status so unlikely we gonna see reduction on entry time or ability to stock tags
