diabetics can't produce enough insulin/don't produce any (typ1/typ2). hypoglycemics produce too much insulin.
Type 1 diabetics do not produce insulin.
Type 2 diabetics bodies have developed insulin resistance for a variety of factors, though while there is a genetic component,
quite frequently a major factor is excessive food intake. Their bodies do not use insulin effectively.
Hypoglycemia is low blood sugar. If you are hypoglycemic you are most likely type 1 diabetic (aka 'juvenile diabetes'), and you take insulin injections. And you pay
very close attention to your food and meds and exercise. You test your blood sugar multiple time a day and may even use a sliding scale.
You
don't just magically get fat because you're hypoglycemic. You go into diabetic ketoacidosis if your blood sugar remains low for too long and ketones build up. In fact, ketones cause your body to
burn fat.
Hence the "keto" diet.
