Fake journalist Laura Ingraham did her best, but no, thats not a walkback at all, thats not a story change, its not facts I don't like. This guy chokeslammed a reporter, broke his glasses, and sent him to the hospital for an MRI. He is lucky he only got hit with a misdemeanor.

Its a lose-lose for the GOP, if he wins the election then the story continues to be front page news, calls for his resignation, actually scratch that, calls for Paul Ryan to not seat him begin, followed by calls for his resignation, the reporter moves forward with the charges, files a lawsuit, wins both easily. If he loses then thats the headline for a day, but the story fades a lot faster.

I think we need to scrutinize his technique a little more, I mean, he had to wrap two hands around the guys neck? Come on, thats a poor slam. And what about the landing? The reporter dinged his elbow and broke his glasses, he needs to practice more.

I'm sure this is the conspiracy theory that you are going to run with should he win, and I'm sure you will ignore the fact that the assault happened the night before the election with up to 70% of the votes already being cast. Had this happened a few weeks ago and he won, you might be close to the truth, but alas, you are still delusional.

If her initial story isn't accurate, why would her revised story be?
She didn't change her initial story. A fake journalist tried to twist it up, and she failed. The only false story was the statement issued by the candidate's campaign staff, which I'm sure greatly differed from the statement they gave to the police. Again, there was no walkback. The charges are moving forward, and really, with the combination of forensic evidence and eyewitness testimony, its an airtight case.
