I mean Trumps request seems like a request for assurance Comey wasnt leaking instead of a request for patronage.
Dont let that get in the way of your fantasies though. So, we now have USA Today, ABC News, and US News and World Report jumping ship off the narrative that Trump did anything illegal, and in all 3 cases, stated that Comey just handed Trump a gift.
Wall Street Journal, which hasn't been as critical as other news outlets on Trump, also basically gave the same analysis. Only the crackpots at WP/NYT/CNN are sticking to the narrative that Trump obstructed justice, but more and more news outlets are finally dropping the overall narrative. What's left for liberals/democrats now when their only support left is starting to go away from their narrative?

Wouldn't blame you, especially when some media outlets, such as CNN, Washington Post, and New York Times, doesn't offer news anymore but present opinion pieces as news.
