Trump isn't a typical politician, therefore it is inappropriate to treat him as such or expect him to play by the same rules (this is why his supporters love him). He's the outsider who has the Dems, much of the GOP, the media, and the rest of the unelected establishment in DC out to destroy him. They don't want him to succeed and if you can't even acknowledge that cabal and it's insidious self serving intentions, then you're pretty ignorant. The DC game also isn't "fair" to him in the least and if you can't acknowledge that you're also part of the problem. One side's goal is at the bottom of the hill and the other's is at the top. Why is Trump obliged to play by their rules? He isn't, he's fully able of using his office to further his own agenda by tweeting or going around the media when HE thinks they don't treat him fairly. When he does, his supporters see it as him fighting back against the rigged game and they love him for it. His supporters know he didn't specifically mean "wire tapping" as in how it used to happen 40 years ago, and we all know he didn't necessarily mean Obama. He loosely meant the previous administration was spying on him for their own political gain. A wild accusation indeed, but no more wild than "Trump colluded with the Russians to hack the election".
