Like I said, it doesn't create a rule. He said it, nothing happened, Thomas was confirmed. The GOP stole a seat from Obama, so whatever happens with Gorsuch is on them. The Dems aren't compelled to do anything, especially given the disastrous start to the Trump admin.

Except every candidate wasn't. You just need to believe that in order to delegitimize all the valid criticism.
I've heard whining about over half of them, and most of the other half hasn't been confirmed yet so I'm assuming that the rest of the whining is coming soon. There is outrage on practically everything Trump does, which weakens the argument against the things that are actually problematic. The obstructionism already makes the stuff used against Obama look like child's play. What obstructionism? All of his nominees have gotten through with no incident until Devos. His EOs have no recourse except through the courts which rightfully shut down a poorly executed travel ban. The lack of legislation so far has more to do with chaos within the president's own party than anything Democrats are doing. Nothing is blocking Trump other than his own ineptitude at governing.

Mattis was confirmed 99-1
Elaine Chao 93-6
Nikki Haley 96-4
John Kelly 88-11
Something something partisanship something hate Trump etc. And, with the exception of 3 votes (1 from Pompeo, 2 from DeVos), every single Nay vote in all confirmation votes came from liberals/democrats.
And most of the Nay votes come from heavily liberal Senators, such as Gillibrand (leading the way with 6 Nay), Sanders (5), and Warren (5).
So, what's your point again?

Cause, at the end of the day, all it takes is 50 votes.
It could be completely partisan, and it doesn't matter. Trump's picks still win.

46 Senate Democrats (48 if you're count the 2 Independents who caucus with the Democrats) and we're trying to make an argument that single digit nay votes are evidence of obstruction from the party....

Congrats, you got through the easy ones. You still have Sessions, Pruitt, Carson, Perry, Puzder, Price, and others that keep showing up on lists of Trump's worst picks in liberal news sources.

They nominated the only candidate that could lose to Donald Trump, and we're the idiots. It's not like they didn't have an alternative option, Bernie was right there.
Bernie would of never won the primary, he was deliberately setup to lose to Hillary. The Dem voters never had a choice, no candidate would of been allowed that could of challenged Her Majesty. The last the time Democrats allowed that to happen, they got an extremely charismatic, popular and incapable President who's greatest achievement was being the first only-half-white "black" President.
A small core group of democrat party leaders, the non-elected ones, sat down and decided on how the primary would go. They wanted Her Majesty to win and they carefully chose her opponents so that they would highlight how moderation and centrist appeal. Bernie is a super socialist, but otherwise non-conformist politician. He actually believes the *** they sell and is a true believer, the absolute last thing a corrupt entity with delusions of grandeur wants in power.
It's an interesting comparison because their both independent outsiders of their own groups who are known to do their own thing. That's where the similarity ends because Bernie does what he does because he truly believes in "The Cause", while Trump is an opportunist and will do whatever's necessary and practical, including playing head games with his opponents. Bernie is a more effective religious leader, Trump is a more effective executive leader.

So ... just thought of something and realized how Trump has manipulated the liberals into setting themselves up for future failure. Now the 9th circuit is going to hear arguments regarding the temporary immigration ban, that's a pretty liberal court so their likely to find in favor and Trump and Team are going to appeal to the Supreme Court. The SC tends to follow the letters of the Constitution pretty closely and nowhere does is grant the "right to immigrate" to those living outside of the USA while also granting the executive branch control over immigration. But even if they find on the side of Dems, they are still setup for future failure because the next time something remotely *Bad* happens in the USA, then Trump can point to the ruling and the liberals and said "I tried, they stopped me and helped kill those people". Not very good for the Democrats. If it succeeds and the SC finds in Trumps favor then win for trump as he would of fulfilled an election promise. If the SC finds for trump and something *Bad* happens then Trump can say "well I tried but it wasn't strong enough" and institute stronger controls, which will be supported and again he wins.
Only one situation happens where Trump actually loses, first is if the SC finds against and nothing remotely *Bad* happens, which isn't *** likely seeing how things are going.
Funny enough, the only real way Trump could of "lost" would of been to not do anything or leave it to congress.
This dudes machiavellian as ***...

lol wtf. Trump hasn't done anything of the kind.
All he has done is stupidly allow a poorly written EO to get struck down in the courts and caused himself embarrassment by attacking an American judge. All he has to do is rescind the order, write it correctly this time, tweak it so it doesn't revoke already issued visas, and reissue the order, and the whole ordeal would be over. It has nothing to do with the Democrats.
What an idiotic analysis.

The constitutionality of the EO hasn't been challenged. The grounds for temporarily halting the ban were that it *** over so many people for effectively nothing. The arguments being heard today are over whether or not the judge was able to do what he did and not at all if the order was legal in the first place.

Let me step into the echo chamber to see on what grounds people are objecting to this order....
"RACIST"
"ANTI-MUSLIM"
"BIGOT"
"PRAISE ALLAH"
"HE EATS BABIES"
Hold on, still listening in for the part about visas.

On another note, Google recently added an "Executive Orders" section as a part of their news feed. I'm sure it was purely a business decision with absolutely no agenda.
