If a mod deletes your post, please wait for the PM to register as well.

Also try to keep insults aimed around a point of view and not a person. This goes for all comers.

I have no problem with Google but I think it's funny that some of this big tech sites don't act like porn drives them traffic. They try to avoid things like that...but money is money.

No, because capitalism has been around since the 1200s.
Sure, if you consider international trade to be capitalism. But true capitalism didn't start off until the late 1600s. But it took a revolution (you might have been there Chanti, happened in 1776) and the stability of a new government before it really took off. And boy, did it.

Can't believe I have to give you guys a history lesson. Must be that first-class education system you guys tout all the time.
Quote:
Capital has existed incipiently on a small scale for centuries, in the form of merchant, renting and lending activities, and occasionally as small-scale industry with some wage labour. Simple commodity exchange, and consequently simple commodity production, which are the initial basis for the growth of capital from trade, have a very long history. The "capitalistic era" according to Karl Marx dates from 16th century merchants and small urban workshops. Marx knew that wage labour existed on a modest scale for centuries before capitalist industry. Early Islam promulgated capitalist economic policies, which migrated to Europe through trade partners from cities such as Venice. Capitalism in its modern form can be traced to the emergence of agrarian capitalism and mercantilism in the Renaissance....

Babylon? You have to admit, small tribes and cities do not a state/country make.

Capitalism as an economic policy can't really occur or work outside of a nation for long.
I don't think economic policy for nation states was around before the 1800s.

From the Yiddish, I spell it faygelah in English. It translates to "little bird" but means gay.

I once knew a gay Jewish activist who went by Faygl, nothing little about that bird.

Senate GOP wants to question Flynn
The Hill

Quote:
Top Senate Republicans said Tuesday the Intelligence Committee should investigate the circumstances surrounding the resignation of Michael Flynn as President Trump’s national security adviser and ask him to appear before Congress for questioning.

GOP lawmakers stopped short of calling for an independent committee to look into Flynn’s actions. The creation of such a panel, demanded by Democrats, would elevate the investigation and allow for televised, public hearings.

But Republicans largely agreed the Flynn matter should be included in a current Intelligence Committee probe into Russian interference in the U.S. presidential election.

“It’s likely that General Flynn will be, at some point, asked to come and talk to the committee about both post-election activities and any other activities he would be aware of,” said Sen. Roy Blunt (R-Mo.), a member of Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s (R-Ky.) leadership team who serves on the Intelligence panel.

McConnell added it’s “highly likely” the Intelligence panel will investigate Flynn.

Across the Capitol, House GOP leaders charged with oversight were less aggressive than their Senate counterparts, seeming to shrug off calls for Congress to get more involved....

That post was very stupid.
No, you're very stupid.
This mindset is the utter absence of effort towards dialogue and completely diminishing you, KN.

You're not new to the internet, there is no need for this type of petty escalation into report-worthy territory.
Yet, it's nice to see that my post which is the exact same level of snark as Seha's is deleted, and yet....

Her's is still up?
I was addressing your behavior, not the state of ffxiah's administration.

One of these two is entirely on you to change.
I hope our dialogue tomorrow reflects this.
Josi, before you can lecture me on my behavior, you should look at yourself first.

And note the condescending behavior you display on this forum quite often.

Before I start using the "h" word on you too.

Meanwhile often your goal is just to insult others here if you feel targeted.
It happens all the *** time.

Fine, I get it, people attack me because I'm probably the most vocal when it comes to politics. Especially politics that they don't agree with.

But it seems like they attack me personally (calling me stupid, ignorant, racist, etc.) and every time I fight back, I'm the one who gets hit with the ban.

And when pointing it out, I get called a diva or accused of having a persecution complex, while at the same breath they attack me again personally. And I see little to no moderator actions when that happens (mainly because Kojo is too lazy to care).

Yes, Seha attacked me last page. Yes, I attacked her right back. And yet, who's post get's deleted?

There are times where I get sick of the partisanship this website portrays. But then again, this website is more able to allow people to speak freely than most, which is why I stay. I don't want to go to another echo chamber, but I do want people to follow the god-damn rules around here. And I don't want to be one of the only ones constantly harassed by both users and moderators.

What's worse is that I'm held to a higher standard while another poster flaunts rules imposed by Rooks against myself and him. And even mentioning him indirectly is cause enough to get banned, and he does it all the time.

You've seen how much I get targeted on this site too for some of my incessant traits, do you think any of your behavior would help the situation for me? or make it worse?
AT least people like you and joke with you.

You don't have people calling on your removal from this website often because you don't hold the same thoughts they do.

Bismarck.Josiahfk said: »
It comes down to wasted effort on your part reciprocating and instead working on changing how much things might phase you or stopping them from phasing you at all.

Do you not see my comment on my page?

I am who I am. To fight against it would be folly and self-destructive. Instead of wasting time changing myself into something that isn't me, I could spend more time honing my message.

Yes, I'm defensive. I know that, I understand that, and I'm not going to fight against it. I generally try not to attack people who don't attack me first.

Bismarck.Josiahfk said: »
Who gives a ***that Seha thought your post above was stupid?
Someone will always think everything you do is stupid.
Dwelling is folly, just try to weight the opinion internally to a healthy amount without bias and decide to either ignore it or factor it into your future behavior if you agree with it.
I expect people to be held at the same standards I'm held at. Or at least elevate me to the standards of other people.

There shouldn't be two sets of rules here, one for conservatives, one for everyone else.

It's a lot better then it used to be though. What it boils down to is sheer volume of members, the liberals all jump up and down on the report button in a coordinated effort to swamp the mod's box with complaints. They come in, look at the post and think "well if this many people pushed the button then something must be wrong". When it's a conservative reporting, they rarely do it in coordinated group so the mods might see one report with your name on it and think "well that's just one person" and it gets only cursory examination.

Those of a liberal bent (US liberal / world Progressive) are exceptionally skilled at using governing systems to get their way, either by oppressing their opponents or emotionally manipulating the rulers to get beneficial (to them) legislation passed. Why would it be any different here on a website? The ruling entities are the mods who just who are just as vulnerable to pressure as any politician, sometimes even more so since it's a volunteer effort. Then of course the mod's own political beliefs tend to come in and tint everything making it even more slanted.
