I'm trying to figure out what people honestly expected to happen with the political cycle. Were they actually expecting that the pendulum would stay on their side forever? Did they actually think that their side has been doing so well that they would never lose power? Did they actually think that ignoring huge demographics was a long-term solution that would guarantee success?
The real problem is that both sides of the political spectrum are equally guilty of this.
Prior to the election, people were saying (especially Vic and CJ) that the democrat/liberals will be in power for the next 50 years. Now, we have Republicans stating (Nausi and Altima's most recent sock) that the same thing.
We have to understand that no one ideology is going to stay in power for long, because, like it or not, they are all *** ups.
