The description reads "Increases chances of fishing up large prey". Does that mean actually reeling in the large prey (such as Matsya whom is a *** to actually reel in), or just large biting the line?

Just reduces chances of line snaps/rod breaks afaik, no effect on draining stamina.

I'd get Mooching KI if you don't have it. I have no problem reeling in Matsya using no rings, save for line snaps.
