Mercury - 36m Miles
Quote:
Mercury is the smallest and innermost planet in the Solar System. Its orbital period (about 88 Earth days) is less than any other planet in the Solar System. After one orbit, Mercury has rotated 1.5 times, so after two complete orbits the same hemisphere is again illuminated.
Pluto - 5b Miles
Quote:
Pluto's orbital period is 248 years. Pluto's rotation period, its day, is equal to 6.39 Earth days.
I dont see anything explaining why Mercury has not yet been engulfed by the Sun ><
Quote:
Mercury
- mean radius 2439.7km = 0.3829 Earths
- volume 6.083 x 10^10 km3 = 0.054 Earths
- mass 3.3022 x 10^23 kg = 0.055 Earths
Pluto
- mean radius 1195km = 0.19 Earths
- volume 7.15 x 10^9 km3 = 0.0066 Earths
- mass 1.305 x 10^22 kg = 0.0021 Earths
While keeping Pluto in Orbit as well w/ the Sun...
Mercury should not exist IMO if the Sun's gravitational is that strong. That or Pluto needs to gtfo... it's a dwarf anyways
