For such a humanitarian, he directed the deaths of 8 US Servicemen during that failed operation that Rooks was so kind to provide information to. Also supplied weapons to Iran which lead to the mass murders of many civilians, but that's another topic. Keep flinging those frozen pucks! He also failed to rescue 52 American citizens at an American Embassy in Tehran.
And also aborted the mission, essentially leaving them to their fate. Kind of hard to know peace when your people working at an embassy are being held hostage, and you send in 8 attack helicopters, of which only 4 or 5 returned, and half your rescue force dead before even hitting the ground.
