Whyever England stopped attacking after experiencing for 83 minutes:
If we attack, Russia is very harmless
If we don't attack we have trouble.

That game should have been put to bed long ago. I knew it was going to end in a draw after so many wasted chances.

I'm not well-versed in english football talk.
I thought that X would stand for the first team from that. I read it as 'I'm giving it[the game] a 3:0 to X.
At least that would be the case for direct word translation into German. [Ich gebe das Spiel 3:0 für X]
So I wondered wether croatia has a chicken nickname because Seha prefered them.

btw I changed the German translation to a more common usage. A real direct translation would be 'an' from this to, but it is barely said like that (but possible) and means for in that case.

Turkey 2-1 Croatia

Turkey:Croatia is starting soon.
I might have Tipped very low for this game. Everyone expects many goals. Mandzukic, Modric, Rakitic, Perisic should be enogh for todays win. Turkey doesn't have much to counter that, but they are usually a very emotion driven team. If they can transform that into a good defense (usually not their strength) I hope that my low Tipp will come true, but anything other a win for Croatia would be a surprise.

Poland:Northern Ireland after that. Northern Ireland won't have the slightest chance. They shouldn't be here at all. It's just because of the increase to 24 teams. Don't like it.
Poland should be able to score many goals. My 5:0 might even be a low Tipp.

In the evening we'll have Germany:Ukraine.
I've been going through the weaknesses of the underdog Germany or whatever its name is during the whole thread. Ukraine's offensive wings will rip them apart. Germany's wing defenders were bad to begin with, but due to injuries the whole Defense line has been thinned out. It's one of those teams of which one cannot predict neither the system they play nor who will play (besides a very few people).
Ukraine beat Albania, Romania and Wales all teams we have already seen in this tournament. They seem to be in good shape.
Germany is the youngest team in this tournament, it should be a good experience for them. Squad worth is a bit confusing Germany 580 Mio. €, Ukraine 123,6 Mio. €. Germany must be a very expensive place...
However I tipped for them, I like underdogs.

Modric... so lucky. This is reminding me France-Romania game. We seriously need some freekicks for a chance to turn the table. To be honest, that is our main, if not only, trump card, which is kinda sad... Hakan and Selcuk are both top-tier freekickers. Not much else to show as a whole. Crotia, on the other hand, has many players playing solid in top-tier teams in much more challenging leagues, while we have very few who don't even play a lot.

Croatia do look impressive.

EDIT: Of course England looked impressive yesterday but they didn't kill off the game and look what happened.

Fatih Terim is taking risks. Oguzhan and Arda were disappointing offensively but still better than Volkan and Burak for defense. I can only think of Emre Mor as the last substitution to take an even bigger risk. He is the only one who can really make a difference...

Edit: bigger LOL, they have been dominating the game but they are trying to pass the time... Come on guys, you should know better...

That was Hodgson's fault. Why was Kane taking corners? Why did he sub Rooney? Why bring on Milner and not Vardy? Why try and defend a 1-0 lead when it should have been over at half time.

Home sweet home! I wanna see lots of goals today, it'd be about time this cup has been a bit dry so far on that front!
