At the very least it will be nice to have an actually NEW area. (as opposed to a re-skin). Don't get me wrong, the two Escha areas are a nice addition but something we've never seen before is just better. Here's hoping it's like La Theine Plateau-sized so we have a lot to explore :)

Hell. Seeing Shinryu in the video has me happy. One of the best looking NMs. Now if they'd only reuse Prov Watcher as well.
I remember when I suggested something like this at the start of the year I wasn't 100% sure if they ever would make such an expansion:

Lilith Ascendant, after all, should look very similar to the real physical aspect of Altana. The fact the coloring scheme was different (brown hair?) makes me think that's real Altana and not Lilith Ascendant. Would make sense for them to finally show Altana in game considering this is the very last content patch FFXI will ever receive, no? Kinda like a small treat for us players.

Actually no, it wasn't Lilith. The halo is blue and white and she seems to be actually wearing clothes!
I still think Iroha is going to turn out to be Altana in human form, sensing the end of the World she took human form but is sort of amnesiac and she'll awaken her memories and new powers in this update.

The one we saw in the trailer has both, and kinda brownish hair, not gold) It could be like Tidis said though, that Iroha turns out to be the physical host for Altana's power, or something. It is nice to see that they stayed true with the end of WotG while designing a physical form for Altana. It is hard to miss the similarities. Also, Tenzen and the tentacles... I think it is more like Iroha's hair glowing red (and her eyes) due to Altana's power being unleashed in her body, rather than actually turning red in color. I got shivers seeing the Rhapsodies trailer. I am very curious about the Aeonian Weapons as well. Had puppetmaster mythic for a couple of years and slowly polishing off JPs so will be good to have a new potential goal.
Oh good. More Wopket. I'm sure he'll be just as faceroll easy as before. However, the Ice Tiger and Thunderbird are going to suck.
I wonder if they are going to adjust anything other than Strobe and Flashbulb for PUP...

It hit me right in the feels as well, especially the song they prepared with the March of Vana'diel...
I'm also bracing myself for the onion ninjas attack when we finally hear that same march with all the voices that a lot of players (including myself) contributed to this ending story-line... Have you guys noticed that Shinryu and Promathia look somewhat darker than normal? I haven't got a good look at Odin if he did appear in the video but perhaps we might fight dark versions of them during the new missions?

 It looks a lot like this, which was almost certainly drawn to be Altana and not Lilith.
