Site Update 2015.07.28
By Rooks 2015-07-28 08:45:31
The site has been updated.
[XI] The forum icons for the GEO and RUN forums have been updated.
[XI] The Job Point caps have been raised to prepare for the upcoming patch. They didn't give us values for the increased merits, but those will come when I know.
[XI] Displayed caps for various achievement categories were wrong.
[XI] The side menu has been re-ordered to add a "Currencies" section.
[XI] The Mweya Plasm rewards now have a dedicated page from the side menu.
[XI] The Sparks rewards now have a dedicated page from the side menu.
[XI] Item level support is now in the core, and will take effect after the next game update when we reload the item database.
[XI] Support for Superior gear is now in the core, and will take effect after the next game update when we reload the item database.
[XI] Support for Ergon weapons is now in the core, and will take effect after the next game update when we reload the item database. There is still more work to make them display, but it's on the way.
[XI] The LSC update link wasn't appearing in all the cases it needed to.
[XIV] There was an issue with unlinking XIV characters and relinking one with an identical name. The affected users have had their data corrected.
You can now delete a friend request, rather than just ignore.
Some usernames had illegal characters in them, which caused seemingly random error messages. These have been addressed.
The 'code' BBCode had an alignment issue, which has been addressed.
The 'drunk' BBCode has been added.
[POLUtils] POLUtils now supports Superior levels on weapons. Not a site bug, but something I fixed while working on the AH item importer.
Things that didn't make it in this patch:
The LSCOM parser is still experiencing problems, but I don't have the necessary access to fix some of it.
Some guild pattern entries are wrong, but I haven't deciphered the new patterns yet.
The trivia module's not ready yet. The code is mostly done, but I can't actually test it locally due to a problem with my development system. Coming soon, though.
The new Lodestone item scraper is about 60-70% complete, after which work on XIVPro will ramp up considerably.
Also, a special thanks to my linkshell mates who helped me gather and format data.
As always, thank you for supporting the site. Please let me know if you find any bugs.
[Edit]
Bugs so far:
- deleting friend requests doesn't work.
- stock and rate on the plasm page don't show.

You can now delete a friend request, rather than just ignore. It doesn't work. The button is there but it doesn't actually do anything.

Yeah, I edited the top post when I tried it.
Worked in dev, but I know why it didn't in production, and I have a fix for it already.

It usually goes the other way around, here; my dev environment is stripped of some of the tools and data (for various reasons), so at least a couple items in every patch are "well, this will probably work, I bet".

We recently had an issue at work where the devs passed us something, said, we told them it wasn't working and the response was "It worked in dev", was too appropriate.

I always here something like "it's probably the router/firewall/load balancer". Because a network device purpose is to randomly strip out chunks of code passing through it.

Oh wow the comments section was fixed at some point, I didn't notice that. Thanks for all your work Rooks.
