Artificial Neurons

Inb4 people scared of cyborgs..

Karolinska Intitutet of Stockholm has developed a fully functional artificial neuron, a conductive plastic that can convey electric impulses like a real cell.

This neuron would once installed in the brain heal and fix damaged areas(and not), potentially curing illnesses such as Parkinson and epilepsy.

playing god usually ends in zombie apocalypse

Funny. The various churches of the world have been playing God for literally several millennia. No zombies yet.

Unless you believe the new testament.

Then there was a single zombie. Two if you count Lazarus.

I can think of several recently conducted scientific experiments which have been classified as "playing god" but I have yet to see this so called Zombie apocalypse you speak of.
