The establishment would like to remind you that it likes when "regular folk" do that.

But I'm pretty sure Aman still owes Mos some dough. If you truly believed that Aman would have paid up, boy, do I have some beachfront property in Wyoming to sell to you!
And since you are my friend, I'll triple the price cut the price in half!

Look, can you blame the man for wanting to improve people's way of life?
He's right, America is ***at the moment. And it's going to continue to be that way unless we have some change.
Is Trump the answer? That's for America to decide. But Clinton will keep the status quo going. At least with Trump, you know that America is going to change. What direction, who knows.
Yes, who knows indeed.
Trumps plans, as he calls them, are disastrous in their current forms. That wall plan? Textbook disaster, trade war tier nonsense all to solve a non-existent problem. His foreign policy? To essentially bully people, engage in overt war crimes and to basically choke some Chinese businessmen to remind them that we're America, *** yeah. Steal the oil, bomb terrorist families, re-institute torture.
To his credit, Trumps campaign manager has claimed that he will change come general election. That he'll morph into a proper statesman and that everything is going to be ok. That Trump at his core is a rational businessman but can that be trusted? Right.

I don't think his supporters want that....
They want him to walk around federal buildings with a tv camera crew in tow, go into executive government worker's offices, at the IRS especially, and do the "you're fired" thing from the apprentice.

This is kinda the thing.
And it's the reason Trump is so offensive.
People don't know his policies. people don't even care if he *has* policies.
With a vote for Trump, you're electing a reality television show president.

I don't think Trump has it in him to sit down, nose to grindstone and be a legitimate politician.
He'll definitely try to change his angle of attack in a general election but the man revels in the excitement of controversy and that stops being a thing when you're across the table from Hillary Clinton talking about regional Syrian politics. All of his support is built on being brash, loud and not giving a ***.
Where does that go when you stop being an entertainer and start being a politician? Up in smoke.

As if the vast majority of the general public actually knows about the policies of the people it votes for....
Over-simplified stump speech talking points.
Personality/Charisma.
Political/Business history.
Gaffes.
That's about as far as most people get. You don't need drawn-out policies to run for president except to appeal to the few people who actually care.

The red flags however arise when your most vocal, 'this is my selling point' plan involves building an unrealistic wall and bullying Mexico because *** Hispanics apparently.
Yes, its more than likely that most of what Trump says would never happen as his advisors wouldn't allow it and the POTUS powers only allow for so much BUT when these are his most vocal plans, what's left to chew on?
Really, why should anyone give Trump the benefit of the doubt? Sanders has his pet projects. Clinton has her pet projects. What exactly is the Trump pet project to make America 'better' other than repeating it ad nauseum?

The pet projects are irrelevant. Do you really think the majority of people voting for Hillary Clinton are doing it for a bigger reason than the fact that she's Hillary Clinton? Her stances change constantly.
Yeah, Trump's talking points are a bit... out there. People aren't voting for him in spite of his comments, they're voting for them because of his comments. Is that scary? Perhaps. But if you haven't noticed, people support him because they're sick of the status quo, and if Trump were 100% PC then he probably wouldn't be where he's at today.

The government you elect is the government you deserve.
But I don't know that I've ever truly gotten the government I tried to elect. I mean, I got Obamawamabobama, but he's been obstructed every step of the way by people I voted against. >:(

Yeah, but presidential popularity plays a role in Congressional elections. If you want a president that doesn't get obstructed, try electing one that doesn't suck.
By Ramyrez 2016-04-28 12:11:22
try electing one that doesn't suck.
Try realizing that's an opinion, not fact. In my eyes it's the congress that sucks for obstructing him.

Same could have been said back in 2008 when Obama and the democrat Congress was elected. Actually, it should have been said. But it wasn't.

You owe me a new screen. I shouldn't drink soda while reading these forums....
But you know, with her stellar work in her other jobs, I'm not putting any money on an above 50% job approval if she gets this new one. Enjoy that Republican Congress.
Quote: US TV network NBC is cutting ties with Donald Trump over "recent derogatory statements" that the veteran businessman made about immigrants.
NBC said the company would now not be airing the Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants that are co-owned by Mr Trump.
Responding to the announcement, Mr Trump said he would consider suing NBC.
Earlier this month, he accused Mexicans of adding drugs and crime to the US as he announced he was seeking the Republican presidential nomination.
"They're bringing drugs, they're bringing crime, they're rapists, and some I assume are good people, but I speak to border guards, and they tell us what we are getting," he said in his speech on 16 June.
He also pledged to build a "great wall" on the US border with Mexico and insisted it would be paid for by Mexicans.
He later insisted he was criticising US lawmakers, not Mexican people. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-33321290
I'm honestly surprised with some of the shit he says. Even though I probably shouldn't be.
