Randomly crashed just now in my mog house and got this error "Visual Runtime Library C++" or something. I logged back in and after a few seconds in my mog house it happened again the exact same error. There is literally nothing I changed in my windower folder or gearswap or anything. I don't know if it's connected to just the Mog House (Unfortunately that is where I logged) or something else.

I would appreciate any help on this asap please

Probably a graphics driver issue uninstall driver and then reinstall.

well I googled what you said and found my graphics card and ended up here...http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/detect (basically the page for updating the drivers) but it failed saying could not find framedynn.dll whatever this means

Go to the control panel in Windows look for programs and settings open it and look for the Intel graphics driver click on it then choose uninstall. Restart your pc then it should reinstall the default Windows driver. After that the pc should restart again. Then go to Windows update and let it search for updates. You should find the Intel driver there install it then you should good to go.

Also when you run Windows update let it do a full update on all critical items. Sounds like you may have more than just a driver issue.

well according to those messages I just got I am missing a few .dll files for my laptop. I managed to put framedyn.dll on it but every other api-ms-win-core-synch-1-2-0.dll file I try to download is blocked by my laptop saying its harmful so I didn't bother. Tbh why would this just suddenly happen and mess up ffxi? I can still view the internet ok and otehr functions....its juts windower / ffxi ><

maybe there has been some recent push to windower by the devs that has caused this? I just don't understand why this has just happened out of the blue. I haven't altered anything manually

in fact the whole thing is fine now. Ive noticed my laptop is very awkward about loading up windower in general now. usually takes multiple tries. usually i get an issue where the details for the lighting and such is pasted to the console last...and sometimes when this happens it will crash...but sometimes that set of text doesnt even paste to the console...and I'll have no lighting and some addons dont work.

Try running the check file for pol viewer and ffxi there is a drop down menu to choose either pol viewer or ffxi.

The only thing I know of to check FFXI files is from the pol viewer itself. Is this something else performed from the control panel or something?

Don't download .dll files from the internet, even more so if you have no idea what you're doing...

well yeah the message was enough to put me off Im just curious what those files are actually for and why theyre even missing in the first place. I wouldn't knowingly just delete single files like this. Even though I don't know what they're actually for they sound like important system files that should be on my laptop

Usually if a needed .dll is missing, there's corrupt data either by a failing disk drive or a bad install, generally speaking.
