I would hold off. I don't think this lucky banner is worth the mythril.
But I need shout :( Luck might be on my side! The problem is there is so much junk relics on the lucky banner list that you're likelyhood of pulling that one is so low. I'm tempted to pull for Tyro's BSB but I'm holding off because I know the chances.

I got Zantetsuken from 100 gem draw then I decided to get 900 gems and do 3 single draws ended up getting this on my first draw. I fear I am burning my luck and Vaan's BSSB is going to be impossible endeavor.

CMs are here to stay, every event will have one. That said an A Team for the ones that you can't CM clear is still a nice thing to maintain.

CMs are mostly intended as additional challenges for older players who didn't have much left to do or complete.

CMs? Are they the 99 cap items?
Also, there are level 180 bosses upcoming, with 200 and 250 in the current JP game.

it's pretty great but the banner is bad and there's a format change coming soon. if you want to pull on anything pre-gilgamesh I suggest FFXII Banner 1, otherwise hold out for a few more events. It'll be worth the wait.

I knew I shouldn't have pulled on the lucky banner! I used all my luck on the Rydia1 banner ugh all I got was Edwards Harp, which I already had lol
I have a 6* harp for Edward now! Lol

You'll want to start looking at Record Materia. Tidus/Ramza have a bonus SB points when attacking, stacked with Lifesiphon, you can spam SBs pretty well (Steiner has a defending one but not as great). The "significantly boosts damage" for weapon types are also great. Otherwise, mage teams, there are doublecast black magic and summons and white. Lastly, Tyro and Cloud's start with SB charge. Most else are pretty specific uses (maybe Vivi's that lets MAG users auto-attack for decent damage and Selphie's WHM version).
Honestly, characters/teams change depending on pulls and situations.

Can always just use A-team to Master and then use realm team to clear the CM for the bonus , remember for CM challenges you dont have to master it to get the prize, just clear it. So master with one team, and clear with another to get the bonus.

Hey thanks for the advice, I got Devout's 2nd RM that sometimes casts white magic twice, broke Terra's 2nd cap and got one to sometimes double cast black magic. I really can't tell how much the "significantly boost weapon damage" does, I used Josef's double hit RM on Tifa. I already had Tyro's Mog teachings but not haven't broken cloud's 2nd cap yet.

My team is almost complete (except screw Cid missions except maybe in 9). I got Grand Cross this morning, which was the only thing i wanted on the second V banner. The only thing that eludes me is a BSB, but to be honest, I really don't NEED one, it would just be nice to have. BSB fest was incredibly kind to me in giving me Thyrus, so I'm living in mostly FFRK easy mode.

Got my first BSSB off a single draw!
Is it any good though? I have Rosa's SSB and she's my main healer or is garnet worth using whith this BSSB?

Started playing a few days ago under the suggestion from a linkshell mate. The game is definitely nostalgic, & I am having a blast. It's for iOS, and Android smartphones and tablets. Currently trying to complete these timed events.
Any one else loving the global release of this game? It's been out in Japan for some time. We finally get in on the goodies
