I think it's great on Asura. If you think things are overpriced on Asura you truly have no frame of reference. SU3/HQ Cursed Gear/etc. is incredibly cheap here compared to Fenrir. Some of those items are so rare that there aren't even sales history on Fenrir. If you are interested you have to do a server transfer. A lot of it is probably exploited but even the items that aren't exploited are cheaper in comparison.

There is shouting but I feel this is preferable compared to dead server chat. It produces more opportunity for pick up groups. There are more upper tier players than other servers if you're interested in grouping for difficult content so there's more options there too.

The grass does sound greener.
I miss you guys, but I can't bring myself to leave :(

I've purchased things on Asura (HQ Abj Stuff) and even other gear to resell for profit.

Fenrir's AH is feeling pretty dead right now. Or things are over priced.

Nothing wrong with Asura, server is fun AF and very easy to find groups of people to do stuff with. I personally love the trolls although most of them are super weak and easy to ignore or shutdown.

If you don't like trolling start up a long Blist or stop playing video games?

As far as Reddiet goes they are a great entry LS for returning players or anyone that just likes a lot of chat.

People that complain about Asura today compared to yesteryear are likely just pining under the "grass is greener" illusion.

Residents of our server 'back in the day' were trolls like Smokeone and Reese, as well as the denizens of 24/7 that turned the peaceful HNMLS competition that once was into the botting fest that every other server had. (Though it was almost worth it to watch them flail for the first few months.)

Asura was the first new server made after NA release and they gave a free server transfer to Asura back in December of 2003, so Asura has always had a very heavy Western slant compared to most other servers until the Pandemonium merger. It's conjecture, but I imagine that Western slant lead to our reputation as much as any other.

What really changed to make Asura what it is today is /yell, which effectively allowed the same cross-channel crapfest conversations that every other MMO had, and Asura had the population of Westerners to make it shine. Yes, Reddit pulled in a lot of Western players and not all of them mature (comes with the territory of a come one, come all mentality that allows for a welcoming community), but the 1500 we have today online at one time is still a far cry from the 3000 we had back in 2006. The difference is the trolls were split in different zones, where the worst of it got relegated to Jeuno and later Whitegate, where now they're everywhere for everyone to deal with.

@ Asura stuff

The server has some lame people obviously, but IT HAS PEOPLE. Not many server even have shouts anymore, and if they bug you why play a MMO or you could just blist.... its that easy.

Half the reason to log into this easy conduit burning dead MMO is strictly to see some shout fest. Its entertaining and thats why I play, you know... a game? For fun? entertainment? Button smashing?

So if we have an Echad ring and get the red mog pell.
Trade the red mog pell for a cipher of kupofried and then get the silver pell for actual rewards.
or can we assume that they will still give us the pells even if we have the kupofried trust but no extra cipher of him

Well, the text says if you have the Cipher which is the item. We'd hope they'd be smart enough to give us the pell even if we've used the Cipher to get the trust but the text doesn't indicate that.

Which are most important to get first?
The only one of those I use on any regular basis is Karaha. Decent healer if you don't want to use unity slot for that and don't have Ygnas

The geo buff ones always have various niches like if you were doing something unengaged or where your trusts would die. Mayakov is a fairly good DD... at least as much as a non Shantotoo II trust can be lol. Fab is an ok melee rdm + stunner but honestly if you want a stun melee use Zeid II.

But yeah I'd just get the Kupofried that should be on there and looks like they just forgot to put so you can use the silver for cool ambuscade stuff

Brygid is very useful on tough mobs that risk killing off your trusts; it's one less trust for your healer to have to manage, and gives everyone in range +10% defense and +10 MDB. I use her when soloing stuff like T2 Reisenjima on DRK.
