Yeah, it's high time to make it last 5min with 1min cool down. That may be what is going to happen. Boost will no longer be a ja that is used upon hit, but a boost like Enspell. Once active it adds some att/acc/crit and weakens over time. This with Impetus stacking could bring Mnk in the right direction for Melee hits and WS. Then again could just be formless being added to WS hits.

Guys, you are all forgetting one thing: This is SE we are talking about.
There's a 10% chance they will get this done right, but a 90% chance that all you guys are going to receive is a semi-buffed Focus and Dodge.

You're correct, this is SE. Which means that they will either give a gimp buff, and say "Balance", or completely over-buff it, and 3 days later, do a patch to make it barely above current standards, and say "Balance"

No they are gonna buff Boost for WSD and let Sam/Mnk be the new DD King. Boost is gonna be working as intended except that Mnk is still.nearly useless and nobody else can sub Mnk except Sam and maybe Apoc Drk.

Quote: Months Later, Game Company Apologizes To Square Enix For Ripping Off Final Fantasy XI
[Image via 2ch]
On November 15, 2016, free-to-play MMORPG Chaos Saga launched in Japan. A day later, its service suddenly stopped after character design similarities between Chaos Saga and Final Fantasy XI were discovered. The company behind Chaos Saga has publicly apologized.
Braeve, the publisher behind Chaos Saga, was able to confirm that the game had 24 copyright infringements of Square Enix’s characters and monsters from FFXI and FFXII.
Braeve and service provider DMM Games both issued formal apologies.
“Because of this work’s copyright infringement, we deeply apology for the significant trouble this has caused Square Enix,” Braeve said in an official statement. Braeve added that this was caused by insufficient staff to properly check the game’s assets. Braeve reflected on the trouble it caused and said it’s taking steps to prevent this from happening again.
In a statement Braeve put out late last December, in which it apologized to those connected to this release but not directly to Square Enix, it explained that the Chaos Saga was developed by a foreign studio named Lingyao. Braeve licensed the game to localize for Japan.
DMM Games, which released Chaos Saga, is also now apologizing, writing, “We would like to apologize from the bottom of our hearts to Square Enix and everyone at the company for all the trouble caused by violating Square Enix’s copyright.” DMM Games also stated it was taking steps to prevent this from happening in the future, ending its statement with another atonement: “Regarding this situation, we would like to offer another proud apology.”
Not sure why this has taken this long, but there you go.

Quote: Internet Instability Issue (Aug. 25): Follow-up
We have an update regarding the ongoing internet instability situation.
On Aug. 24, 2017 at around 8:30 p.m. (PDT), upper-tier Internet Service Providers (ISP) experienced technical difficulties which led to a major disruption of internet communications throughout Japan.
This issue caused backbone routers (equipment which provides communication between ISPs, for example, through upper-tier networks) to experience extremely heavy load, and at around Aug. 25, 2017 12:16 a.m. (PDT), resulted in a shutdown in a section of backbone routers that connect with Square Enix servers, thus cutting off communications to our servers.
*Our login and game servers are operating as normal.
Due to this, at around 2:21 a.m. (PDT) we changed what network settings we could on our end to circumvent the downed backbone routers, but we then received information that the same issue was also occurring on other backbone routers serving ISPs used by our players. Thus, it is possible that a solution may take some time.
We are continuing to investigate, but if you are unable to log in or are disconnected from the network, we ask that you please wait a while and try to log in again. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

Guessing it's essentially double chance per mob kill to get a chest floor.
By clearlyamule 2017-08-25 18:48:09
I bet the chest floor pic is a red herring and you'll just get 2 light messages when finish a primary objective

'Obtaining' omens is a misnomer, as they don't count toward anything. Instead, certain rolls including 666(possibly also certain totals.. as in hitting those exact values not passing them) will grant you a chest floor after your next boss fight. In the event you hit one of those values, you'll stop getting omen rolls until the chest floor or exiting.
Allowing 2 rolls per mob doubles the chance you'll have chest floors. Pretty straightforward.

Thanks for stating this in clear language. Running omen pretty steady since January, and I just never bothered to pay close attention to the omen numbers because I didn't take the time to really understand them. I always wondered if you had to stop kills after getting one of those "magic rolls", or if the game simply kept track of it once the event happened, and you were set.

Edit: It doesn't really double them, because any mobs after the chest floor is flagged no longer matter until it's 'redeemed'. If being a stickler, it's probably something like 98-99.x% more chest floors.

While they occasionally repeat some like the gigas and fomors due to holding a vote on niconico, they did state that if they brought the frog back they would make it immune to gravity.
Hi.
Dev tracker is a kind of feed in Official Forum that highlight (in the left side bar) posts from development team to players demands, questions and sugestion. Given that those answers are given by someone who effectively works with the deveopment of this game, they can be considered as official and true.
http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxi/forum.php
The japanese side of OF has its own dev tracker, that normally is way more active and detailed than english side. If someone feel like translating it to bring the info, feel welcomed too.
http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxi/search.php?searchid=15480698
BG site has one specific topic just to publish and discuss those official answers, and i think ffxiah lacks something similar as not everyone here check BG or OF, so lots of details/dev opinion are missed. So, thats the point of this topic, anyone who see new info in dev tracker feeds, quote it here, and start a discussion if you feel like.
Starting now, a couple of new dev posts were released after march update annoucement. Here they are:
Trust changes
Quote: [dev1261] Alter Ego Adjustments
It will be possible to summon alter egos in the following content.
Walk of Echoes
Wanted battles
It will be possible to summon alter egos in the following mission battlefields.
Wings of the Goddess missions
When Wills Collide / Maiden of the Dusk
It will be possible to summon alter egos for the following quest battlefields.
Wings of the Goddess quests
Champion of the Dawn / The Dawn Also Rises / A Forbidden Reunion
-----
Dev answer to a sugestion to add new ways to obtain dusk type of alluvion skirmish stone.
Quote: Since dusk-type stones were just implemented, we'd like players to do alluvion skirmishes to obtain them, so there are no plans to add the ability to trade other items for these stones at the moment.
However, we'll look into increasing the amount in circulation and the means of obtaining them in some way in a future version update.
Monster rearing news:
Quote: [dev1262] Mog Garden Adjustments
Monster Rearing will undergo the following adjustments.
A monster's mood will no longer degrade from "beaming with pure contentment" after collecting items or interacting with the monster.
The collective moods of all creatures will generate auras of light or darkness that affects them all.
Light
When the number of creatures beaming with pure contentment is greater than that succumbing to darkness, all creatures’ contentment and mood are increased.
Darkness
When the number of creatures succumbing to darkness is greater than that beaming with pure contentment, all monsters' contentment and mood are decreased.
The following information will be displayed when entering your Mog Garden.
The number of days left on assistants’ contracts.
The current affinity of the Mog Garden.
Mog garden gathering points will undergo the following adjustments.
It will be possible to scrap any unwanted flotsam directly without receiving it in cases where the player’s inventory is full or he is otherwise unable to recover it.
Sugestion about blu traits having aditional tier info.
Quote: This is something that is difficult for us to address at the moment as we would have to send data each time you open the menu to see which tier you currently have. We're concerned about this largely affecting UI response time.
Similarly the same holds true for saving the data client-side as well. Since all of the trait data for this would have to be saved, it would consume large amounts of memory, which also makes this feature difficult to implement.
