Yeah, because I'm obviously the one who cannot stay on topic and contribute nothing.

Thats the best part of these troll threads, when the OP complains.

Problem is, he has no argument, he just found a couple of people that he agreed with and tried to pass it off as an argument. Meanwhile, the world will continue to take steps to combat warming while completely disregarding the "skeptics."

So Milamber posts an on topic opinion and you respond with a laugh and a dismissal, then complain people are off topic. Classic altima.

Except for its as off topic, on topic can get.. I was kinda interested in what he was saying until he says
Quote:
Those numbers vary depending on sex/age/person/etc, but they are the generally used numbers.
smh...

But hey keep on defending conjecture and just plain biased off topic information.

Are we done pretending that Altima is capable of a discussion let alone one on climate change?

Really because he is responding to a quote from the article you posted in your OP. How is that offtopic? What exactly are you expecting people to post? You have pretty much laughed off everyone and called it "nitpicking." Well, why don't you share what you expect people to respond to in this thread? Because so far, according to you, everyone is posting off topic (except for you of course). Pretty clear case of why altima should not be allowed to create threads.

You forgot this one altima, put up or shut the *** up.

This is especially illuminating considering that at least one of your links is simply stating that the confidence interval is +-0.05F, which could potentially put it below the previous record. Without mentioning what the confidence interval for the previous record was. At all.
Quote:
The key word is “estimates.” When a scientist measures something—with a ruler, a scale, or a thermometer, for example—there’s always a measurement error owing to properties of the measuring device or even the skill of the scientist. When it comes to global temperature, scientists are averaging data from over a thousand thermometers scattered about the planet. Some are well-taken care of, and some are not. Some may have traces of urban warming in them. Nor is the number of readings exactly the same from year to year, or even from month to month.
The result is that there is a central estimate (58.46°) and a 95% confidence range as to where the “true” value lies.
The most recent and most transparent error analysis of global temperatures has been done by a group called Berkeley Earth. For October, they find that the 95% confidence range is 0.10°F, or +/- 0.05°.
So, using the normal rules of science, is 58.46° then distinguishable from 58.45°? In a word, “NO.”
Bold mine.
Without going into the confidence interval of the previous measurement, that last statement is incorrect.

Thanks for proving you don't read posts above your own, now shut the up and get out troll.

You may as well just nuke the thread. This particular topic has been at stalemate in this forum for quite a long time (years, I fear to speculate). The two opposing sides have such a habit of basically saying that the other is full of blind believers in bad science that it's no wonder Endoq immediately showed up with her usual lack of content and attention-seeking nonsense.

What exactly can be achieved when both sides are metaphorically facing away from each other and screaming with their fingers in their ears?

The simple fact to the whole argument is CO2 is not making the planet warmer. In spite of us pumping CO2 into the atmosphere our planet has refused to warm for the past 19yrs. Any logical person would come to the conclusion that CO2 is not the problem, yet all these people that think they are logical say CO2 is warming the planet and when called out on it they respond like this..

Ad hominem because you can't stay on topic, in a clickbait troll thread?

They effectively destroyed your argument - which is pretty easy when you have none, nor understand the topic you're posting about.

Then all you have left to post are what you deem "witty" remarks, on how no one stays on topic.

Dude bro, do you even potato?
