Climatology sounds like an off shoot of Scientology and so it makes me giggle every time I see that word.

While I am glad there are dissenting opinions on scientific subjects because part of science is to try as hard as you can to prove something wrong, the dissenting opinions aren't providing coherent arguments against it. It is clear that they have run out of ideas and are just grasping at straws hoping to gain some supporters by clouding up subjects and pushing misconceptions.

I feel compelled to post this, as Aelius has already said, get back on topic which is global warming. Not every science thread has to be about religion or anti-religious.
Lastly, though I didn't see it explicitly here, remember that attacking another user's religion and religious beliefs is against the rules.

You may as well just nuke the thread. This particular topic has been at stalemate in this forum for quite a long time (years, I fear to speculate). The two opposing sides have such a habit of basically saying that the other is full of blind believers in bad science that it's no wonder Endoq immediately showed up with her usual lack of content and attention-seeking nonsense.
What exactly can be achieved when both sides are metaphorically facing away from each other and screaming with their fingers in their ears?

The problem is that there are a handful of people actually willing to discuss the topic and they are drown out (and now unwilling) due to years of the rest of the people throwing feces.

islam (religion) isn't bad Anna, seriously tho..
It's still off topic. Feel free to start a thread about islam if you want, at least anti-religious and most religious people will be in agreement for once.

Feel free to start a thread about islam if you want, at least anti-religious and most religious people will be in agreement for once. i agree with that and that's why i wasn't talking directly about religion, my point was how it correlates with what i suspect could be the root cause of what created the earth's temperature to increase..
ps- i feel really offended.
I'm sorry you are offended, it wasn't my intent, but I am seriously confused by the correlation you're trying to make between islam and global warming...

PM it to me too!
Global warming is just not interesting enough for me.
Until I start seeing Aliens and Dinosaurs crawling out of melting glaciers while a meteor shower turns us all into the fantastic 4, it will remain that way.

X-men or mutants in Marvel universe are the result of evolution.
The fantastic 4 got their powers from gamma rays during a space experiment.
You noobs.

I tried asking Satan.
He told me he was just a secretary to the Super Devil, and he was out joyriding the universe for the next half millennium.

He told me he was just a secretary to the Super Devil, and he was out joyriding the universe for the next half millennium. It isn't global warming, it is just Satan going:
According to some, it is anthropomorphic due to the accumulated sins of the unwashed.

Fantastic 4 would hand Xmen their *** on a petri dish.
Spiderman solo'd the Xmen!
You are better off aiming for gamma ray induced powers.
There are gamma rays in your microwave. Put some tinfoil in it and set it to 3 minutes. Hold a frying pan and aim it towards the sagittarius constellation.
Your Saint Armor will be delivered by Athena in 3 minutes or money back.

I didn't think this thread could get more off-topic. Not that I care, it's just funny.

The original Green Ranger was better.
Apparently the actor got into MMA after he was done being the white ranger, then sported a few cameos from the new series, as the Green Ranger.

Hey in a sense in the Poseidon arc of Saint Seiya, Poseidon meant to eradicate humanity through a flooding caused by climate change!
Applaud me for my ability to stay on topic while being off topic

Been awhile.. I'm bored and its cold outside.. Sooooo here we go!
http://www.climatedepot.com/2015/01/16/scientists-balk-at-hottest-year-claims-we-are-arguing-over-the-significance-of-hundredths-of-a-degree-the-pause-continues/
Quote: No Record Temperatures According To Satellites
Physicist Dr. Lubos Motl: ‘Please laugh out loud when someone will be telling you that it was the warmest year’
Climatologist Dr. Roger Pielke Sr.: 'We have found a significant warm bias. Thus, the reported global average surface temperature anomaly is also too warm.'
Climatologist Dr. Judith Curry: 'With 2014 essentially tied with 2005 and 2010 for hottest year, this implies that there has been essentially no trend in warming over the past decade.'
My Favorite.
Quote: Nobel Prize-Winning Physicist Dr. Ivar Giaever, declared his dissent on global warming and noted that the temperature rise over the 20th century was “so little. It is not even fever.” Giaever won a Nobel Prize for physics.
“.8 degrees we will be discussing in global warming. .8 degrees if you ask people in general they will think it is 4 or 5 degrees they don’t know it is so little. It is not even fever,” Giaever said.
“I am amazed that the temperature can be so stable,” Giaever explained. ‘The temperature (of the Earth) has been amazingly stable, and both human health and happiness have definitely improved in this ‘warming’ period.’
“I don’t see that co2 is the cause of all this problem,” he added.
