Looking for anyone who has experimented with multi-step skillchains for warrior. Post any interesting combinations that have worked for the community. Thanks.

King's Justice -> upheaval -> light -> Ukko's -> light also works if your not using bravura.

If your feeling adventurous, ukko's -> Steel cyclone -> upheaval -> Ukko's -> Ukko's would be a 5-step.

Justice > Steel Cyclone > Upheaval > Justice > Ukko = Light

Cleave > Upheaval > Ukko > Steel > Upheaval > Justice > Ukko = Light

Either one should be double light i think.

Edit: Havent actually tried either though.

Power Slash->Resolution->Scourge->Resolution->Scourge is better

King's Justice with Chango is generally better than Ukko's.

Using Ukonvasara

Easy Double Light: Ukko's Fury > Upheaval > Ukko's Fury (used to set up AM3) OR Upheaval > Ukko's Fury > Ukko's Fury.

Medium Double Light: Steel Cyclone > Upheaval > Ukko's Fury > Ukko's Fury.

Extended Double Light: Armor Break > Steel Cyclone > Upheaval > Ukko's Fury > Upheaval > Ukko's Fury.

Didn't realize it was interchangeable with Ukko's in those six-steps. Word.

Power Slash SC is better than Ground Strike one?

I need to check that out.

I do like the idea of closing Distortion with Reso.

Edit:

This one is kinda gross but...

Steel Cyclone-> Keen Edge-> Steel Cyclone= Darkness.

If you need Darkness/Gravitation for whatever reason with GAXE.

Polearm is Stardiver/Gimpulse->Sonic Thrust-> Stardiver/Gimpulse (Very fun with Mighty Strikes up/Warcry/Lots of WSDMG with Impulse Drive on piercing weak)

Just pulling this over from main thread for ease of finding..

What is War's best multistep Radiance and how should I approach it because I think I need to open with full TP Upheaval for AM3?

Without Chango, I should be WSing in a Multi-hit set at 1000 tp and with Chango, I should be WSing at ideally 1250 tp with a WSD set right? Would that also apply to King's Justice?

Aeonic's don't need you to store to AM3. Both KJ and Upheaval's damage changes post 2K and they go from a MA set to a WSD set. The actual TP you would use depends on if you have Warcry up or not since that's another 700 TP Bonus.

For Radiance, the "best" 5-step is
King's Justice -> Steel Cyclone -> Upheaval -> King's Justice -> Upheaval

The first Upheaval activates the AM effect, the second consumes it to create Radiance.

Now we can replace Steel Cyclone with Full Break in that series, Full Break inflicts far less damage but comes with the benefit of several debuffs one of which being defense down. Also a 5-step is usually extreme, I've been just shortening it to an easy 4-step by cutting off the initial King's Justice.

Full Break -> Upheaval -> King's Justice -> Upheaval.

Siren.Kyte said: »
If something's susceptible to Armor Break, then

Armor Break->Steel Cyclone->Upheaval->King's Justice->Upheaval->Upheaval

is probably the better initial 6-step

anddd

Raging Rush -> Raging Rush -> Steel Cyclone -> Upheaval -> King's Justice -> Upheaval

Can anyone help?

Im not sure if im doing something wrong but i cant seem to get past 3 ws in a row without it failing to chain the 4th and simply registers the 4th ws i do as the 1st of a new sc if that makes sense.

I wanted to build a 6 ws in a row combo for big damage for fast apex kills but from what im experiencing its like 1 player can only do 3 ws and it ends.

The window to WS gets smaller and smaller, to the point where you have to immediately WS after WSing.

Keep in mind you can have two SCs animations going on at once, so don't wait, just WS at 100TP. And if that doesn't solve it, it means you're too slow, make sure to have capped attack speed and/or proper multi attack gear. Multi attack gear is probably the biggest impact since capped attack speed isn't an issue nowadays.

While I'm here, what would be a nice solo multi step SC that includes Metatron Torment? All I have is a Brovura and Metatron would help when soloing, so I'd like to include it.

One of the things on WAR that has really helped me be able to do 4/5 step SCs on apex is maintaining uptime of Retaliation. When I don't have Retaliation up or I'm not holding hate, I find sometimes I can only get 2-3 steps in my SC.

I solo'd all of my war JP, so I never had a problem with hate. I had my brother's brd for songs so I had capped haste.

Here you go.

For many jobs, just read first post since it's been updated many times.

Great Axe -

Radiance: Armor Break > Steel Cyclone > Upheaval > Ukko's Fury> Upheaval > Upheaval

Radiance: Steel Cyclone > Upheaval > Ukko's Fury > Upheaval

Solo using koru moru and ulmia gives cap haste and makes getting a radiance in easy.

For war jp I just made a dt-50% set and did aoe pt's in reisenjima for master.

No, each step of the SC has its own window, but with each progressive step the windows gets smaller:

Step 1: 3-4 sec,
Step 2: 2-3 sec,
Step 3: 2-3 sec,
Step 4: 1-2 sec,
Step 5: 1 sec,
Step 6+: 0-1 sec.

Something like that. Unless you have 100% DA with a 3-hit build, you're probably not gonna be able to go past step 3 reliably.

4 step SC on war is super easy with capped haste.

Do full break> upheaval> ukkos > ukkos or upheaval with chango.

If you can’t get capped haste for some reason 3 step is pretty good still

Ukkos> upheaval > ukkos

The thing is after step 3 you need to just WS asap no waiting at all or it will not SC.

Edit: just a side note for 1hand wielding for fencer, war will not be able to reliably do a 3 step SC in a fencer build there just is not enough delay reduction available from normal sources to make it happen, I’m not entirely sure but i think in order to swing fast enough for this you would likely need a cor with Sam roll and haste samba just to do it, and then you might as well have the cor help with SC.

If your doing multi-steps King's Justice does better then Ukko's Fury now due to TP scaling.

With Chango
Full Break -> Upheaval -> King's Justice -> Upheaval

If you don't have Chango then you can do UF at the very end for double light, the middle linking WS would depend on your weapon.

Ok ty for the replies all.

So what i was trying to work out in the beginning was is it better damage wise to simply ukko > upheaval > ukko for 2 lights using 3 ws repeatedly or attempt to build a 6 ws combo that could kill a ra'kaznar apex or almost. Bear in mind im using ukon if it matters.

Start with KJ if your TP is over ~1300 or so and your using a moonshade. Ukko's doesn't gain much from additional TP while KJ scales up pretty well.

The practical limit is around 4 step SC's from a practical standpoint. On apex you should try to kill it in one three or four step SC if possible.

Full Break or Steel Cyclone > Upheaval or Metatron Torment > Ukko's Fury or King's Justice > Ukko's Fury or Metatron Torment or Aeonic Aftermath Upheaval.

Great Axe is very flexible for skillchains.
