This update, SE decided to delete (as far as we can tell) many of the colors from the text palette that they weren't using. This results in many fewer colors for addons like Timestamp and Battlemod. If you were using a color code of 264 or higher, you will probably want to select a lower color.

They may also have changed colors 1-263, so you will also probably want to change your colors if you now find them boring.

In order to view available color codes, download the Battlemod addon from the Addons tab of the launcher and load it in game (//lua l battlemod). Then use //bm colortest. When done, you can unload it with //lua u battlemod.

Is that why the colour of timestamp currently matches whatever chatmode you are in? Is the default colour one of the ones that is no longer used?

Check, check, check.

... Check.

Actually, now that I think about it, I'm still using the old Timestamp plugin for Windower, just checked the new Timestamp Lua addon and it seems to work. I guess I'll just use that instead.

I don't use battlemod but it seems if you unload timestamp and then load it again it fixes it.

Any plans to update the default colors.xml that gets downloaded with BM to map the old colors used to the new, reduced palette? I'd do it myself manually, but I don't have an old screen showing the old colortest...

SE ruining a good thing again... most of the colors in colortest are white now :(

Would it be possible to restore the old colors by replacing a DAT file from before the patch (assuming they are stored in one)?

For Timestamp, it is working properly on one account but not the other when dualboxing. First account to login has the purple timestamps while 2nd account has the color matching thing.

It would actually be possible to introduce a lot of new colors with a proper DAT, but I don't know which one it is. And it would be a bit of work to do it.

Since it doesn't seem the colors.xml file has ever been corrected, does anyone have a screenshot of the old colortest by chance?
