This also seems to be a binomial discussion: gay or straight, nothing else exists!
Probably because bisexuality has a stigma even in the gay community. Many bi-men I've encountered are really not bi, but just gay and using the term bi to attract men.
E.g. "Oh bro I got a girlfriend, I'm bi and on the DL. I just like dudes *** me!"
Some other gay men will use the title "bisexual" when they are first coming out because they think it is more socially acceptable or retains their masculinity a bit more.
I can't wait to find out why you only think about "fake gay" or "half way out gay" men in response to kara's post and not any of the rest of the sexual spectra like fetishes and group activities.

I'm not saying bisexuality doesn't exist, however, the term itself is used to perpetuate these "fem" hating attitudes in the gay community. And it is certainly used by some gay men to attract certain types of men who are insecure about their sexuality.

And why does something outside the binomial "straight or gay" have to be anything to do with "maybe gay men"? What about people who like to have tapioca pudding injected into their ears?

I think you're missing my point. My post has nothing to do with confining individuals edit: to specific categories but rather explaining the skepticism with bisexuality.

EDIT: It's also used to perpetuate misogynistic attitudes in the gay community.
Some gay men are convinced that being "bi" somehow gives them their manhood back and not as "fem." So you'll often see the terms bi/str8-acting/butch/DL etc used interchangeably.
E.g. "Oh bro I'm bi I ain't down with Bob he's all fem."
It carries a stigma in the lesbian and straight community too (because yeah, not just a male thing >.>).
Lesbian community: it is only associated with college or experimentation and the assumption that a bisexual women would never settle down with a lesbian. Bisexual woman are also blammed (by some) for men constantly asking lesbians to have threesomes with them.
Straight community: that one "will grow out of this phase" or it's used as a cheating excuse.
However, this is not really where I was going with my statement.
This sexuality discussion that KN started is that gay or straight is a choice that doesn't occur until attraction is acted on by entering into a relationship with a gay or straight partner. So he says you are not gay or straight until you are "taking action"
So does that mean: (2 questions I've mentioned but there are more)
You are only bisexual when you are having threesomes?
How does masterbation work here, since a person is "taking action"?

I think the confusion lies in taking KN too seriously.
I think I lost brain cells reading KN's obvious and utter ***.
And here I was hoping to catch up on something that would be more intellectually stimulating than physically.
Then of course, I see people who beat out KN's comments, which to some degree, weren't nearly as HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE as the other comments coming from those who lack a fundamental ability to choose to think and unfortunately, they will never know who they are, and pointing them out directly would create a flame core thread with an even brighter intensity than a Red Giant collapsing in on itself, of pure idiocy.
Thank You RP&R. I think I've just lost all hope for humanity, and the future, and will go die in a ditch somewhere, until I decide to post from the grave, while hanging out with the flying spaghetti monster, and his son, the flying fettucini monster.

Who said that you have to be straight 100% of the time or gay 100% of the time?
Oh wait, nobody did.
My brother-in-law was gay before he met my sister. They met, started dating, got married, and have 2 children together.
But under certain people's definitions, he is neither gay nor straight because he used to like men, but now likes women.
So does that mean: (2 questions I've mentioned but there are more)

How does masterbation work here, since a person is "taking action"?
Again, do you have to be straight/gay 100% of the time, or during the time of the relationship?
If a guy is having a relationship of that magnitude with another guy and a women, then he is both.
If a guy is masturbating, and is not in a relationship with either a male or female, then what does it matter? He is neither gay nor straight because there is no partner to share a relationship with.
I know you knew the answers beforehand, but you have to try to sound like you are stupid so you can look to be funny.

If you don't agree with me, then say so.
Your posts are complete and utter ***, but I don't call it out all the time. The reason is because they are your opinions and just because you have *** opinions doesn't mean that they aren't valid.

Heterosexual and Homosexual are often called 'sexual preference.' You still have a preference of what you are attracted to when you are masturbating alone. Just because I'm grilling sausage doesn't mean I don't like muffins.
It sort of strikes me as odd how some people fail to catch that sexuality impacts more than just who someone has sex with. It has the potential to have a drastic influence on how people form friendships, how they choose what social circles to become involved with, the career choices they consider, etc.. It's the same if you're heterosexual to be honest, it's just less often at the forefront of decision making because it's normalized.
I almost never even use Facebook to talk to anyone anymore. To me, it's just an outlet to share music and other media and have basic information available to others. That's what I see people using it for now, anyway.
Although, I'll occasionally send or receive a message from someone I don't have a way to contact otherwise.
I suppose that's true on a technicality. However, both before Facebook and now, people tend(ed) to keep a small circle of good friends which they('d) contact daily or near-daily and a slightly larger circle of friends they might spend the day with every now and then. Facebook and other social media merely provided the ability to stay in contact with one-time acquaintances or people you networked with (essentially what you're calling disposable friendships).
You're right in the sense that it's not a website that's going to build friendships with everyone you add, but unless I'm outside of the loop (I'm pretty young, to be fair, but I guess younger generations could have a different interpretation), I imagine most don't expect that.
It's a good utility that allows me to keep in touch with certain people and share things with them, though, for sure.
Additionally, it's cool for long-distance contact, if you're unable to reach someone, online photo storage I guess, and perhaps venting (though I don't do that there). Probably a few other things.
tldr; I really don't see facebook (strictly*) inhibiting friendships, it's a useful tool and that's all
I agree it is a very good site for organization and sharing media. The friendship thing is hard because being a friend is more than liking some random picture.
