I certainly think porn gives men an alternative but teaching kids that men are all rapists in waiting certainly has negative repercussions for both girls and boys.

I think the solution to porn and all the naked selfie scandals is that everyone should be required to post and yearly update a 10-shot photoset of themselves in various states of undress from clothed all the way down to naked, and it should be published where everyone can see.
That way everyone can be equally (un)comfortable with everyone.

this part. I don't think that goes on. if it does, it's a tiny percentage of the west coast, & not something to get all worked up about.
I teach my girls that the only monsters there are in rl are human, & I haven't gone into greater detail. I'll be sure to let you know if they come home and ask how many women I've raped that day, but in the mean time I think they have a fair assessment of men.
In this instance, I'd say you're buying into the propaganda more than any average american child is.
