51% over 20 years (nationally) vs 40% over 4 years (Colorado) is quite a significant difference.
except that according to the US department of heath's statistics, that number is a lie.
Where?
same site goofball
coloradoMmm. I'm guessing that you are pointing to
Quote: Percent change in the teen pregnancy rate, 1988-2010 or
Quote: Percent change in the teen birth rate, 1991-2012 and 2011-2012 ?
Neither is applicable to state that the CO Department of Public Health and Environment's statistic is proven false.

I'd be down for a state-sponsored lottery sterilization program. Even better if they bring all 12 years old and up into the program and brought them all into the hospital, but didn't tell anyone which ones were sterilized and which ones remained fertile.

It's not exactly a process you miss being done...I think they'd know who they were.

*stares at tv perplexed* On the American front we may have lost another hero. Jared is having his house raided by the FBI for child porn. What has America come to that the heroes of our hero sandwiches can't be trusted?!
Oh and yes Jared is considered a hero in the US because he ate Subway and lost weight. It's stupid but there you go. We can't pay any attention to Europe right now.

Saw this but wasn't even going to bother.
In fairness, his electronics are being raided because his charity's chief was arrested for the indecent stuff.
Nothing formal against our weight-loss-by-fast-food hero yet.
Heh. Subway. Hero.
Bwahahaha.
But really. Go to Quiznos instead. Better food > quantities of cheap crap.

Point is we have bigger fish to fry in the USA then care about Greece. Though we may fry them in grease if that's any consolation.

Quiznos, at least when I ate there, was tasty. Good bread, good ingredients. Their chicken and steak actually tasted like grilled chicken and steak, not frozen-reheated bulk-produced-packed-in-a-ziplock-bag fare like Subway.
Granted, it's been over a decade. They all closed around here because Pittsburghers value quantity over quality when it comes to food.

Speaking of sandwich related news:
http://abcnews.go.com/Business/subway-spokesman-jared-fogles-home-searched-fbi/story?id=32265296
The FBI has raided the home of Subway spokesman Jared Fogle as part of an investigation, authorities told ABC News today.
Fogle was seen at his Zionsville, Indiana, home during the search this morning.
Authorities would not elaborate on the nature of the investigation, though it comes two months after the executive director of Fogle's foundation, Russell Taylor, was arrested on child pornography charges.
Fogle's attorney told ABC News in a statement that his client has not been charged with any crime.
"Jared has been cooperating, and continues to cooperate, with law enforcement in their investigation of unspecified charges, and looks forward to its conclusion," attorney Ron Elberger said in the statement.
Subway issued a statement about the investigation involving the longtime face of the company.
"We are shocked about the news and believe it is related to a prior investigation of a former Jared Foundation employee. We are very concerned and will be monitoring the situation closely," the company said in its statement.
Taylor faces eight preliminary federal felony charges, including multiple counts of possession of child pornography, voyeurism and child exploitation. Taylor remains in jail, according to federal documents. It was not immediately clear whether Taylor has entered a plea. Federal prosecutors have until August to impanel a grand jury, according to Taylor’s lawyer.
At the time of Taylor's arrest, Fogle released a statement to the Indianapolis Star condemning Taylor.
"I was shocked to learn of the disturbing allegations against Mr. Taylor. Effective immediately, the Jared Foundation is severing all ties with Mr. Taylor," Fogle said in the statement.
Fogle, 37, gained national fame when he lost a significant amount of weight by eating turkey and vegetable sandwiches from Subway and exercising. He was first featured in ads for the company in 2000 and he launched The Jared Foundation in 2004, with a mission to improve children's health.

Neither is applicable to state that the CO Department of Public Health and Environment's statistic is proven false.
sure they are... ok you subtract the total percentage by the decline in 2012 12% from 56% you have a 44% drop over twenty years there is no way in hell you could can cook that to come up with 40% in four years.
if you go back and look at the decline graph nationwide had such a miracle occurred wouldn't it stand to reason that the hhs would have noted it?
nationwide

Jared will have to pick between the 6 inch or footlong ... in jail.
Now, now. There are no diets in jail.
He'll get both whether he likes it or not.
But really. I'm seeing nothing solid about charges against him at all.
Maybe it's just a matter of time, but let's not convict him in the court of public opinion before he's even officially hauled in.

Quote: The Kremlin says Russian President Vladimir Putin received a phone call from Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras, whose government is racing against the clock to reach a bailout deal with creditors.
The two leaders discussed the results of Sunday's referendum in Greece and "several questions about the further development of Russian-Greek cooperation," the Kremlin said.
During Monday's call, the Kremlin said Putin "expressed support for the Greek people in overcoming the difficulties facing their country."
The head of VTB, Russia's second-largest state bank, said over the weekend that Russia might be interested in buying Greek assets if they were to be privatized.
VTB head Andrei Kostin said Russia might be interested in ports, airports, railways or companies in the energy sector but that Russia would be unlikely to give Greece loans. The Latest: Tsipras calls Putin in wake of referendum result
IDK anymore. *** 'em. I'd say go back to the "Ottomans" but I doubt the Turks want to pull them out of the hole they dug themselves into.
I have noticed there have been articles floating around which uses a skewed version of German/European history to continue the mudslinging. Germany's history of sovereign debt includes five instances of default (of individual principalities) that occurred before the first unification of Germany under the Hohenzollerns (Prussia) in the early 1870's (the other three were due to WWI and WWII).
Greece is intertwined in German history, in that, after winning their "independence" from the Ottomans in the 1830's, Greece was ruled by Bavarians while Greece was in limbo. Then, voted in a Danish prince of a German family. His successors were on shaky ground after his assassination, until they were exiled back to Germany and the UK. (You know the Queen of England's hubby, cantankerous, old Phil, right? Hi, Phil! Yep. That guy is still alive and kicking.)
Greece has a history of not only defaulting on debt, but feigning their sovereignty while being completely a cluster-*** of a nation when it isn't on another nation's dole.
Sorry to dump that little ditty, but FFXIAH is my "one and done" as far as internet commentary, and seeing "Well, Germany..." with the surrounding details that would further explain the circumstances tossed on the editing room floor made me gnash my teeth. Greek supporters were really grasping at straws for that one. Anyone who has an ounce of interest in European history or regal history would have had sirens blaring in their skulls reading some of the things that have been said in the defense of the Grexit and their manipulation of history.
Anyway, TL;DR. Good morning, lovelies! Good coffee, huh? :) And now they're going to be property of the Federation. No loans, just ownership.
Appropriate as far as the Dane/German "Hellenes" who threw themselves on that grenade for another war with the Turks, the Balkans and Crimea...
Really, though, biographies on Philip or his mother and father are worth the read. Depressing but well worth it. Underdog, basically orphaned, poverty prince. (Think Arya or Sansa, if you need a nerd-o-sphere comparison.)
