I've been assured that modern-day oppression is impossible because people are being treated a lot worse in other countries.

It doesn't matter if you're really oppressed or not, only if you feel like you are.
This "feels" argument keeps getting thrown around like it means something lol.

is vandalism a greater crime than 200 years of systematic oppression death while in police custody?
Even while it was self-inflicted?
It is truly amazing what people will cite as evidence when they want to believe their narrative lol...

So let me get this straight... you're taking the word of another person the police arrested that he heard him hurting himself when he could not see or actually be sure what exactly was happening and now playing that off as the fact of the matter now?

I also liked how they didn't properly secure the man and then cited ploice officers ignoring new procedures on the basis that well they didn't read em because they figured nothing really changed anyways lol...

In any case... Baltimore better get ready to bend over and take it in the *** because they'll be paynig out millions eventually to the family of this man.
The report by the other prisoner happened well before the death of Gray. The report itself stated that the other prisoner did not know who was in the other container with him.

But I like how you will twist anything around to fit your viewpoint though.
And? How can you verify that he knew what the sounds were? It doesn't matter that he didn't know who he was. All they've released is a tiny bit of a report that hasn't even been verified and the man in question can not be reached yet. Yet you jump on it like its the oly thing that matters and have shifted blame solely onto the deceased. Jumping the gun a bit? Ignoring video evidence that officers put their knee to this guys back while he was on the ground then dragged him to the vehicle?

I haven't taken a stance yet so I don't know how I'm twisting it to my viewpoint lol...

Its just funny that you previously called for people to wait for the truth to come out then jump on the first piece of info you can that fits the narrative you want. The truth has yet to come out nor have all the facts been released and the investigation is far from over at this point.

God, Allah, Zeus, Odin, Flying Spaghetti Monster bless you people!

Man, Rav's idea (that has ebbed and flowed through a few people's synapses here from time-to-time) didn't last long, did it?

So, devastating earthquake in Nepal. What's up with that?

Meanwhile Swedish police on vacation show up in NYC and take the front page of our papers for deescalating a situation. I'm left to believe that in Sweden the police give you a soothing backrub as they lead you into a police van.

Because the Swedes know all about massages!

Quote:
An earthquake (also known as a quake, tremor or temblor) is the result of a sudden release of energy in the Earth's crust that creates seismic waves. The seismicity, seismism or seismic activity of an area refers to the frequency, type and size of earthquakes experienced over a period of time.

From a practical standpoint, all I know is that it probably means a lot more Nepali refugees coming stateside.

Thousands die from a devastating earthquake, and we're too busy obsessing over faux oppression from racism 200+ years ago to pay attention.

We should all be ashamed.

What does Don Lemon think about the Earthquakes? Was it a black hole again? I still want to know where MH370 is.

Srsly: The chance of survivors is low. Those mud brick buildings don't leave much space in between for people to breathe. Worse still the rainfall thats been happening in the days after the quake.

Alot of aid isn't getting out of the capital either. Remoteness of some of those villages and all. I was kinda sad seeing all those temples destroyed.

History :/

We can't -- currently -- stop the earthquakes.

We can maybe do something about fixing social inequalities without waiving them off as "someone else's fault and problem".

Not even Don Lemon can spin an earthquake to be racist...on second thought yea he can !

An earthquake in Nepal is a metaphor for some random guy dying in Baltimore. Therefore something !
