Kid gets measles, parents invite the parents of kid's friends to bring them over to catch measles and get it over with.

I heard of that practice when I was a kid. Not in my social circles though.

This was before the vaccines were available. Today antivaxers have infected kids suck on a lollipop which they then mail to like minded idiots friends.

You've already shown you have no grasp of statistics. How many people under the age of 15 are there in the United States right now? I guarantee your guess will be wrong (don't bother stating it because I'm sure you'll have googled it before replying). On the unlikely chance that the couple hundred kids in your elementary school in Pigfuck, Nebraska, were unaffected by measles, that's anecdote, not evidence. It's data, not conclusion.

Two kids I went to school with contracted and died from meningitis. A couple others died to childhood cancers. And I went to very small schools. I'll bet money neither of my younger brothers are aware of any of these cases, but does their ignorance mean they didn't happen?

Assuming I believe your story that no one you knew was adversely affected by a really nasty and virulent infection, which I don't, clinging to scant data like that is classic confirmation bias.

But since you like to tout that 100 people have died as a complication of vaccines, let's remember what vaccines are: weakened versions of the disease itself and/or the toxoids employed by the disease. Adverse reactions to vaccines are always the same adverse reaction that person would get to contracting the disease. The fever spike from DTaP is an indicator of someone who is likely to be killed by the diseases it protects against. By challenging a vulnerable immune system with a weakened version, those almost-guaranteed fatalities are saved.

But understanding medicine and statistics is hard, so let's just allow kids to die instead. They're better off high-fiving Jesus. In fact, let's just smother infants the second they get shot out of the birth canal, save them the trouble of living and get on with the holy paradise.

I can make up numbers too 35% of people vaccinated are good people.

Diphtheria was not fun almost killed me when I was three. Which was 1966. Spent 2 or 3 weeks in an Atlanta ga hospital during Christmas vacation. Oh I had the vaccination for it and still got it.

Keep in mind that As a General Rule we only want to give people side effect that we already have other drugs to treat...and then those drugs also have side effect that we have other drugs for etc etc etc... and you walk out of the doctor's office with five prescriptions and some samples

There are several hundred thousand people who have an adverse reaction to life-saving injections worldwide. Of those hundred of thousands of people (in comparison to roughly 6.1-7.2 billion people who live on this marble) a tiny percentage of those will suffer consequences dire enough to put their life in jeopardy.

More people die annually from Penicillin than they have from vaccinations due to an allergic reaction. More people die annually from peanut allergies than almost anything else in the world - seriously, it's the most dangerous thing on this planet now, especially for kids.

Smallpox, measles, chickenpox, etc. are all in the same virus family, and literally killed millions of people a year before vaccines came about.

Thanks to the *** anti-vax morons out there, previously eradicated/thought to be eradicated diseases are making a comeback in an era where they should no longer exist.

Contracting the measles doesn't necessarily mean you'll suffer the adverse symptoms that afflict so many - instead, it can mean you'll be what's known as a carrier - infecting hundreds of others, who infect thousands of others, etc. who can and will suffer severely damaging effects.

I sincerely find it hard to believe that, Wormfeeder, as a child, was even acutely aware of what measles were when he was a kid, compared to scores of doctors who had isolated the virus and found a means to protect as many people as possible from it's damaging effects.

I would have to say that goes for most drugs the fda approves in this country.
