Do we need to bust out the Biden quotes saying the exact opposite things then and now about Judicial nominees in election years? Or Obama filibustering Alito's nomination?
Can you also place them in full context?

June 1992, Mr. Biden, then the chairman of the Judiciary Committee, said there should be a different standard for a Supreme Court vacancy “that would occur in the full throes of an election year.” The president should follow the example of “a majority of his predecessors” and delay naming a replacement, Mr. Biden said. If he goes forward before then, the Senate should wait to consider the nomination.

“Some will criticize such a decision and say that it was nothing more than an attempt to save a seat on the court in hopes that a Democrat will be permitted to fill it, but that would not be our intention,” Mr. Biden said at the time. “It would be our pragmatic conclusion that once the political season is underway, and it is, action on a Supreme Court nomination must be put off until after the election campaign is over.

“That is what is fair to the nominee and essential to the process. Otherwise, it seems to me,” he added, “we will be in deep trouble as an institution.”
So, tell me, who had been nominated for the Supremes when Biden made that speech?

And I love how you somehow believe that then Senator Obama's filibuster kept Alito off the supreme court.

Edit, paged.

...you lived in a predominantly black urban area?

Yes

Next unfounded assumption

You know what's worse then being a poor black person living in a run down predominately black neighborhood?

Being a poor white person living in a run down predominately black neighborhood.

But your middle class upbringing would have noidea what living in those conditions is like. If you did you wouldn't be speaking about them the way you are now. I joined the US Army right after graduation because it offered a way to get out of that life, and under no circumstance will I allow myself to ever go back.

So please tell me how much unearned privilege I have due solely to my parents genetics. Run your mouth and show the world how much of a horses *** you are.

Hell, most of my ideas require federal-level intervention. It's mostly tax law.

Texas doesn't have a state income tax for individuals.

Despite any jokes I crack, or feelings I have about majority opinions, I hold no ill will toward Texas as a whole and find many aspects of the state quite charming. I would not be averse to living there in the right situation. *shrug*

Really not clear why you have such a grudge against me to the point you keep making assumptions and ascribing political talking points to me specifically when I have never even thought them, let alone uttered them once.

I never breathed a word about unearned privilege you have.

I don't think I've ever said anyone's privilege was unearned, though I may have implied or outright said so regarding people born into luxury.

Privilege is quite existent in many cases. But privilege is simply something that is. Be aware of it. Don't be ashamed of it. But I've never implied it about you, nor anyone else in your situation, and at this point your personal attacks discredit you more than me.

In stupid racial news:

Bernie Sanders criticized for saying white people don't know what it's like to be poor

Quote:

Bernie Sanders took some heat online for a response he gave during the CNN Democratic debate in Flint, Michigan, on Sunday.

Sanders said he was told by a woman active in the Black Lives Matter movement that he didn't understand "what police do in certain black communities" and "the degree to which we are terrorized" during everyday activities. "When you're white, you don't know what it's like to be living in a ghetto," Sanders said. "You don't know what it's like to be poor, you don't know what it's like to be hassled when you walk down the street or you get dragged out of a car. I believe as a nation in the year 2016 we must be firm in making it clear we will end institutionalized racism and reform a broken criminal justice system."

On Twitter, several people pounced on Sanders' statement, saying it was totally off the mark.

I know this is 3 weeks old, but I just came across this today.

This is just another example of Sanders pandering to a crowd just for votes. Just like pretty much every politician ever.

Now if people will wake up to realize this......

He came out the next day and walked it back. All was forgiven by the left and the media.

The same left and the same media that has been repeating the lie incessantly for 6 months that Donald Trump thinks all Mexicans are murderers and rapists based off one misquote out of context in one speech that he corrected and clarified a hundred times since.

Obama's nominee is talking to the Senate about the job. Which is, you know, the first step in hiring the guy.

Don't you have a job? Have you ever been to a job interview before?

Same for me and Pennsylvania. Except for the income tax.

I would have to get a big raise in order for me to consider living there. And I'm not talking about the hot-chick-in-the-room-flirting-with-me type of raise.

Talking to the Dems, sure. The GOP has refused to meet with him. McConnell didn't even call him. No meetings, no hearings, no vote, thats the stance the majority leader has taken. So no, the senate is not doing its job.

So, you rather he is interviewed by 101 bosses instead of just a few from a committee?

Imagine how nerve-racking that would be if you were in his shoes.

I'm sure you don't know this, but there is a thing called "procedures" you should look up.

Long story short, Senate will just say no and move on.

Don't create any faux outrage over nothing Vic. Or pretend the Senate isn't doing exactly what they are supposed to do. Which is say yay or nay on a nominee of Obama's.

Talking to Democrat senators is like talking with Obama, it doesn't mean anything to Mitch McConnell. The Dems don't set the agenda, the dems don't hold hearings. This isn't rocket science, you aren't making any points, and its not going to go away because conservatives want it to. This is the only thing the Senate has to do this year.

You're just moving the goalposts and declaring yourself the winner of whatever game you think we're playing.

Do you agree with McConnell that this particular nominee should not get a hearing?
